About the role
The Manufacturing Excellence Manager is a critical member of the BLT (Bangplee Leadership Team), responsible for defining the site’s strategic roadmap for operational transformation. This role oversees three critical pillars: the Reckitt Production System (RPS), Vertical Start-Up (VSU) and Digitalization. The objective is to drive a step-change in productivity, quality, and asset care through systematic capability building and the deployment of advanced digital and lean manufacturing
Your responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Develop and own the 5-year Manufacturing Excellence Master Plan for the factory, aligning site-level operational goals with regional and global business strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of specialized managers (RPS, VSU, and Digitalization Managers) to ensure departmental synergy and high performance.
- Serve as an active member of the Bangplee Leadership Team (BLT), contributing to site-wide decision-making and strategic direction.
- Production System & TPM (RPS Pillar)
- Drive the implementation and sustainability of the Reckitt Production System (RPS) in line with the global standard.
- Establish rigorous auditing processes to ensure pillar standards (MOS, AM, PM, etc.) are met across all production lines.
- Eliminate losses through systematic root cause analysis and the institutionalization of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Own and drive the site productivity plan development and delivery
- Vertical Start-Up (VSU) & Project Excellence
- Oversee the VSU Capability Building framework to ensure all new product launches and equipment installations achieve "Vertical Start-Up" (reaching target speeds and quality levels immediately upon launch).
- Integrate Early Equipment Management (EEM) and product design principles to minimize post-commissioning losses and ensure operational readiness.
- Digital Transformation & Advanced Analytics
- Direct the digitalization strategy to significantly enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality management, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure digital tools (e.g., Power BI, IoT, Automated Reporting) are integrated into daily operations to drive real-time decision-making on the shop floor.
- Manage the digitalization budget and roadmap to ensure technological stability and cybersecurity.
The experience we're looking for
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record in a leadership capacity within a multinational environment.
- Methodology Expertise: Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and VSU/Early Management protocols.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skill in managing relationships and influencing outcomes with regional heads, site leadership, and cross-functional partners.
- Presentation & Presence: Confident in delivering high-stakes presentations and reports to global executives.
- Analytical Power: Ability to synthesize vast amounts of operational data to identify strategic priorities that impact the P&L.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Expert at leading teams across departmental boundaries to achieve common site goals.
