About the role
As part of the Global Procurement Team, the Senior Procurement Manager - External Manufacturing Excellence will be responsible of developing and executing a Global External Manufacturing Strategy / Make vs Buy analysis around the world, across BU’s and together with the operational EMO team in each location. On top of that, the person will be responsible for EAST team. The role is to create strong relationships with the different internal stakeholders in Supply, Marketing, R&D and Finance to efficiently support and drive the innovation pipeline. The position will also be responsible for leading the suppliers identified as Global, to optimize the network, strength the relationship and maximize the benefits. As well as, managing high profile projects to support business continuity strategies, ambitious cost reduction programs, management of COG’s and payment terms in support of net revenue, gross margin and NWC improvement
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the governance and procurement excellence for EMOs in alignment with the Supply team across BU’s .
- Support Make vs Buy analysis together with Supply team.
- Develop the global procurement Strategy for EMO management.
- Support the operational team for the execution of the Global Strategy.
- EMO Network optimization / rationalization across the Globe.
- Develop and Implement standard KPIS globally providing the right visibility, tracking and continuous improvement.
- Responsible of the operational EAST EMO business.
- Manage/lead the relationship with Global Suppliers supporting the local needs.
- Support Quality and Regulatory to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, as well as RB standards.
- Secure Service levels on existing portfolio.
- Develop a strong Business Continuity Pipeline to secure service in the longer-term.
- Design and negotiate contracts in conjunction with Legal Dept.
- Support New Product Development to launch on time and at competitive prices.
- Conduct benchmark studies with RB’s factories and other Suppliers.
- Achieve optimum costs while ensuring high level of quality/service targets.
- Develop in depth knowledge of the technologies and supply base for own portfolio.
- Define a strategy to meet RB’s objectives in terms of Compliance, Quality, Service, Net Revenue growth and Cost optimization.
- Gain management and stakeholders support for proposed strategies. Lead their execution and regularly report on progress to senior management.
- Identify and implement opportunities for the raw and packaging materials leveraging the global material negotiations.
- Develop a Risk Management plan and contingency plan with Global and key suppliers.
You’ll succeed because…
- Master degree in business, manufacturing, engineering, finance or other relevant discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant Procurement experience in a fast-paced environment – previous experience with External Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong negotiating, influencing and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in completing business improvement projects such as cost reductions and business simplification processes.
- Autonomous and self-starter
- Must have the ability to lead cross functionally with Marketing, Supply, R&D and Finance to promote change, drive efficiencies and make cost savings impact on the business.
- Structured, analytical, and results-oriented
- Proficient in Excel
- Able to effectively communicate and to effect change with internal budget owners, peers, senior management, and suppliers.
- Ability to work in a truly global organization. Proven experience in working in a fast moving and results driven environment which demands to work under continuous pressure.
- Willing to travel frequently.
- Fluency in English is a must.
