Director of Strategic Partnership

Job Purpose: To be a key team member in growing the Reckitt China OTC business by leading business development & licensing activities. 

Key Accountabilities:

To deep dive into Reckitt OTC categories, and their adjacencies to unearth new opportunities
Screen the market for licenses, identify the best API’s and vendors, and facilitate conversations to secure IP.
Secure long-term access to intellectual property & ensure Reckitt’s best interests are always included in any deal
Co-ordinate and oversee functions inputting into vendor suitability, such as due-diligence, freedom to operate, exclusivities, quality aspects, supply chain suitability and more
Negotiate in line or better than Reckitt break points and handle multiple-tradables that impact commercial elements of contracts
Work with legal to create and negotiate win/win contracts, working with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure clauses are in the best interests of Reckitt
Co-ordinate with Reckitt stage gate owners to drive resources to in-licensing projects
Monitor & drive timelines to guarantee successful handover of the IP
Manage the alliance until implementation and handshake to internal teams
Your Profile:

10+ years’ experience in China OTC industry with business development and medical/R&D expertise
Well networked in China with potential vendor’s with government and leading doctors  
Experience within local Chinese companies
Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and pathways
Solid medical and category knowledge, with a strong inquisitive mind to unearth opportunities  
Ability to multi-task and effectively lead projects and people
Self-motivated, structured, performance-oriented personality with entrepreneurial thinking, creativity and dynamism
