About the role

The incumbent will ensure the best possible Domestic Warehouse/Freight Operation and import Operation throughout the Company, at most efficient way and timing.
Manage and develop the Logistics activities in relation to the following areas within country:
- Monitor 3PL Warehouse and Freight operation to ensure all KPIs to be achieved. 
- Cost analysis with logical approach 
- Inbound Shipment monitoring to ensure all Customer service levels to maintain,
- Custom Clearance and container delivery arrangement
- Stock Movement Monitoring
- Relationship Management with 3PL and Global Forwarder

Your responsibilities

• Ensure all reworks activities to complete on time to maintain service level
• Ensure on time rework material orders to keep 3PL's efficiency.
• Ensure to conduct proper communication with 3PL
• BOM and SOP creation with Compliance
• Rework Cost set up with aligned format
• Track all In-Transit Containers
• Ensure all custom clearance to be done with correct HS Code.
• Arrange Container delivery schedule with 3PL 
• Seek and report any opportunities for cost reduction.
• Developing a training and development program to upgrade the Logistics skill.
• Suggest improvement /re-engineer processes to create a flexible responsible supply chain  at a low cost 
• Consistent delivery of first class customer service measured by pack and order fill and customer satisfaction
• Effective customer / trade relationship development / business relationships focusing on supply chain efficiency & service improvement
• Report any issues or ineffectiveness of warehousing, transport and stock control
• Inventory management in short supply
• Propose organisation and people development.
• Work in partnership with IT team to facilitate the development of systems e.g. Logistics Management Systems, VMI, etc.

The experience we're looking for

Logistics or Supply Chain experience, preferably in a fast moving goods environment (1-3 years)

The skills for success

Language skills: Japanese & English (Business level) 

Proven expertise and skills in working at Logistics Department. 

Good working knowledge of system and processes throughout Logistics  

Thoroughly understand inventory/forecasting relationships and their effect on freight out costs and working capital.                         

Good working knowledge on PC software and computerized Logistics system (with knowledge on JDE system is an added advantage)             

Able to understand the supply market dynamics for key sales.  

Be able to propose direction, and also coordinate change and is comfortable working in a transitional environment
