Import Export Operations Specialist

Sisli, ISTANBUL

 
•    BS Degree from an accredited college/university
•    Minimum 2-3 years experience in import-export and custom operations
•    Good level of written and verbal communication skills in English
•    Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work in collaboration with cross functional teams (3PL, Headquarters, Freight forwarders, Suppliers etc.)
•    Good knowledge of Logistics related modules of ERP systems and processes, preferably SAP knowledge

Major Key Accountabilities:

Goods intransit:

•    Follow up stock intransit: Follow up purchase orders for finished goods, raw materials,packaging materials from from factories to warehouses
•    Coordination of Reckitt factories and suppliers
•    Inform Planning, Logistics,CS Teams about stock intransit and arrivals
•    Follow up goods reciept of goods at warehouse/bonded warehouse
•    Management of suppliers, custom broker, review their performance ,follow up KPI’s, prepare related reports

Import and Custom Operations:
•    Check and ensure all needed import documents like invoice, packing list, ATR etc. provided before truck arrival to custom
•    Coordination of import payments on time with allignment of finance team
•    Check which trucks will be needed to process in bonded warehouse
•    Coordination of the trucks arrival to the warehouse after custom clearance
•    Control of EDI and IDOC messages for Inbound Deliveries
•    Control of goods reciept of goods which arrived to warehouse

Management of Missing/Surplus/Damaged Goods:
•    Checking accuracy of DDN Report prepared by WH team, ensure  if there would be mismatch between order and physical good receipt 
•    Sharing DDN Reports with related factories annd suppliers
•    Invoicing DDN costs to the related factory or supplier in the same month
•    Preparing monthly DDN report

Export and Custom Operations:
•    Arrange transportation for exports if shipment not arranged by reciever
•    Shipment planning and coordination of hauliers
•    Preparing needed documents for export operations
•    Follow up custom operations with custom broker

Financials and Budget Management:
•    Cost control for all import-export documents after custom clearance
•    Ensure if all expenses are in line with budget
•    Preparing import-export shipment data for tenders
•    Improvement of current processes and look for cost savings
•    Check import-export freight invoices, custom invoices, bonded warehouse invoices, other related invoices  and approve on the system. Take necessary actions for differences and mismatches.
•    Monthly budget control of all shipments and custom operations
