Regulatory Advocacy Senior Manager - API Regulations & Strategy

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the Regulatory Advocacy lead on self-care legislation and policies globally. 

 

Your role will be to develop the Reckitt position and external advocacy strategy, by anticipating and responding to (i) new/revised legislative proposals impacting our self-care product portfolios, and (ii) Regulator/NGO/HCP/Pharmacist scrutiny, that can lead onto changes in legislation, industry guidelines and/or HCP, Pharmacist and consumer trust.

You will ...

  • Develop and execute advocacy strategies for Reckitt RAS Policy Priorities.
  • Develop Global advocacy strategies in partnership RAS Category Strategy and IMEX teams.
  • Lead x-functional advocacy task forces.
  • Participate in Category POD teams on relevant projects.
  • Influence external stakeholders and policy makers through compelling and well-defined advocacy strategies, to fight for proportionate regulation, based on robust and risk-based science.
  • Our aim is to empower Reckitt Category teams to develop resilient and sustainable product innovations.

  • We will be one of the trusted voices of industry, and each of us contributes to building a positive reputation with Regulators and consumers, as trusted industry thought leaders. 
  • Leverage RAS thought leadership to formulate compelling industry positions and shape future regulations that impact Reckitt’s current and future business activities.
  • Ensure Policy Priority Heatmaps, Summary Sheets, Position Papers and Advocacy Masterplans are in place for all policy priorities, as well as readily available to all RAS IMEX teams.
  • Partner with the ISG Lead to develop and execute advocacy strategies on Reckitt APIs.
  • Serve as the Senior Regulatory Advocacy representative on key internal and external committees.
  • Ensure that the appropriate SMEs are included in Category PODs, and representing Reckitt in industry association committees, to influence and build credibility externally, in line with business strategies.
  • Become a trainer for the ‘Advocacy Fundamentals Training Programme’ developed by our team, develop and maintain up-to-date advocacy toolkits, facilitate cross-country / regional best practices and ensure compliance to relevant, internal processes/SOPs.
     

You’ll succeed because… 

  • Educated to honours degree level in Life Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A solid track record of Regulatory Affairs experience with strategic and operational regulatory experience in any of the following areas: medicines, medical devices, cosmetic products, VMS, infant nutrition, detergents, biocides, pesticides or chemical legislation
  • A solid track record of Regulatory Affairs experience with strategic and operational regulatory experience in Rx or OTC medicines.
  • Coach others in the ability to inspire cross-functional teams, balance resources and priorities to deliver results.
