About the role

The role has responsibility for the global commercial lead and activities of strategic new projects involving Licensing, Technologies, and know-how, for all Reckitt Power brands. A crucial responsibility is to manage relationship with internal and external stakeholder at mid to senior level. The role has significant impact on the company’s revenues and profits as most projects have the potential to become global blockbusters. Emphasis must be placed on reaching optimal results in a difficult and often restricted environment where relationship and stakeholder management is core for achieving the Reckitt targets for launch of new products. Within this restrictive environment, it is expected that the candidate will be able to negotiate terms that are according to Reckitt requirements and operating model, and secure new projects are brought in on time and on budget, while ensuring Procurement compliance to internal and legislative procedures.
 

Your responsibilities

•    Early participation in new projects to determine commercial suitability.

•    Accountable for securing optimal new supplier performance including service and quality.

•    Secure procurement involvement from early stage of projects with deliverable commercials and timelines

•    Secure cradle to grave solutions with in-house opportunities or other suitable supply chain

•    Keep a sound relationship with suppliers at management levels. Motivate suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer in presenting innovation and/or cost/efficiency projects.

•    Support teams to secure proper procedures according to operating model is observed.

•    Design and negotiate contracts of an often very complex and individual nature in conjunction with Legal Dept. 

•    Commercial and financial due diligence on new suppliers.

•    Acts as the major/primary RB commercial contact for the supplier.

•    Build and maintain close relationship with key internal stakeholders and external decision makers.  

•    Understanding various aspects of negotiation and how to reach optimal results even with limited or no alternative options available.

•    Protect RB business interests and early highlighting and resolution of potential risks.  

•    Deliver COGS and other business terms to meet GM and project requirement. 

The experience we're looking for

•    In-depth experience of Procurement, in a multi-cultural/multi-geography environment. Commodity (External Manufacturing, Raw & Pack material etc) experience desirable.

•    Experience in working independently in complex project teams.

•    Degree qualified preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business, or other relevant discipline.

•    Ability to work in a truly global organisation. Proven experience of working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure most of the time.

•    High degree of fluency of English is required for negotiations and internal communications. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

•    High level negotiation, influencing and communication skills.

•    Ability to navigate in complex cross functional global teams and to stand your ground under pressure.

•    Flexible to travel, when required.
