About the role

 

Want to digitally transform the experiences of consumers? As an IT&D Senior Solution Architect, Digital & GenAI, you’ll have the freedom to think strategically, modernize technology landscape to enable Reckitt’s marketing and e- commerce ambitions.

Product Group Solution Architect is accountable for proactively and holistically driving solution design activities within the product teams, ensuring alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture and product stream strategy. Solutions Architects provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a product or a set of products within a product group. S/He works closely with DevOps / development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IT strategy. The Solution Architect is also accountable for supervising the design as well as the integration execution within the scope of their product(s), collaborating with the integration platform team. S/He owns solution architecture specification.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivers the architectural design for product(s) and inputs to the roadmap by utilising knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution
  • Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations
  • Defines the guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision

The experience we're looking for

  • Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements
  • Understanding of organisations mission, values, and goals
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture for omnichannel commerce solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of retail industry standards and practices, including POS, e-commerce, and order management systems
  • Experience with microservices and API-based architectures.
  • Strong experience with cloud computing platforms, such as GCP or Azure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technology neutral: remains unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice, and is more interested in results than personal preferences
  • Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
  • Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives
