IT&D Senior Technical Analyst - Azure FinOps Specialist

Description

The IT&D Senior Technical Analyst – Azure FinOps Specialist will be responsible to drive the culture of financial prudence across product streams. Work with senior leadership across products and platforms to drive cost management initiatives. The role will work closely with the Platform leadership, Product Stream Architects and Strategy and Operations leads to provide current visibility into the spend and implement cost optimization measures.

 

You will...

 

  • Work with product owners / product stream leads to present the financial details for their cloud spends
  • Provide visibility to the IT&D leadership for the overall spend, cost saving initiatives etc.
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to provide visibility on the cloud spend and keep it within the budget 
  • Dashboards and Reports for Cloud Financial Management
  • Analysis of current setup and come up with recommendation for optimal cost spend
  • Develop cost calculators for new cloud initiatives
  • Monitor spend and drive cloud cost optimization initiatives

 

You'll succeed because you have...

 

  • 4-5 years experience in similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge related to cloud infrastructure design and maintenance
  • Experience and technical knowledge on cost optimization for cloud implementations including cloud cost forecasting and calculations at scale.
  • Knowledge in developing operational metrics and reports, and driving improvements based on gathered data.
  • Certification in Azure /FinOps is preferable
  • Knowledge in excel / powerbi
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must possess a University degree with good academic record
  • Ability to learn and deploy market leading finops tools and processes
