About the role

Reckitt is on a journey to improve general IT (Information Technology) controls across our enterprise. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Controls Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll help monitor and manage risks related to our tech systems, making sure we meet industry and regulatory standards. You’ll be involved in reviewing security reports from our partners, evaluating our own security measures, and helping develop plans to address any issues. Plus, you’ll update our training materials and help keep our team informed and prepared. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our IT control environment is robust, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • Proactively tracks and records IT Controls related risks, ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Coordinates the collection and review of SOC (Service Organization Control) reports from third-party service providers, verifying their adherence to required security and IT controls standards.
  • Actively participates in second-line defense IT Controls assessments, including risk assessments, control assessments, and maturity assessments, to ensure robust IT governance.
  • Supports the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate identified risks, enhancing the resilience of IT operations.
  • Supports updates and maintains critical documentation and training materials focused on IT Controls, facilitating continual education and compliance among IT staff.
  • Utilizes risk dashboards and other metrics to analyze the health of the IT Control environment, providing actionable insights for improvements.
  • Assists in the management of projects related to IT Control initiatives, ensuring these are completed on time and align with the company’s broader risk management goals.
  • Engages in ad-hoc activities for the IT Compliance, Controls & Governance department, including research, drafting presentation materials, coordinating reviews-related deliverables, and maintaining data for executive reporting.
  • Support with the maintenance and development of the controls section on corporate IT&D communication channels.

The experience we're looking for

  • Relevant degree qualification desired (in a science or IT subject or related discipline).
  • You will have, or be working towards certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, cloud security, or similar.
  • Experience gained within professional services and industries working within internal/external IT controls function is mandatory.
  • You will have a working understanding of SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) and how general IT controls should work across applications, databases, infrastructure, and utility tools. 
  • An awareness of automated testing through tools such as GRC and Auditboard.  Experience of setting up automated testing will be a bonus.
  • Ability to work at an operational level with an eye for detail.
  • Can demonstrate hands on experience of controls remediation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able apply its features to solve problems and analyse data.
  • An interest in technology and data analytics (experience in coding not essential)
  • The ability to apply lateral thinking to find new solutions to problems independently
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new skills.
  • Experience of working in a multi-skilled and diverse IT team.
