The General Manager reports through the SVP ANZ in Australia, and leads the NZ Business.

Your responsibilities
- As both the Sales Director and General Manager of the NZ business, develop and implement the NZ business plan in alignment with the region and company’s vision, strategy and goals
- Drive partnerships, strategy and team engagement that deliver net revenue, volume, price and gross margin and operating profit targets for the NZ business
- Partner with the Australia business to develop and execute on brand and portfolio strategy
- Create a channel and customer strategy that drives channel and category growth, and delivers best in class partnerships across NZ
- Work closely with functions that deliver enablers of execution across supply, finance, HR, regulatory affairs and legal
- A truly focussed people leader to coach, develop and motivate the NZ team
The experience we're looking for
- Ability to operate in a multinational environment, leveraging a regional structure to deliver results in NZ - a partnership of local resources in NZ and resources in Australia
- Proven track record as a Sales Director, Country Manager or General Manager; or alternate senior role with a strong sales and trade background
- Exceptional level of skill in leading a sales function in a modern trade FMCG, Pharmaceutical or retail environment; with trade marketing experience
- Proven success in creating strategy, plans and delivering business results through driving net revenue, gross margin and operating profit growth in partnership with retailers; while managing supply
- Excellent relationship and customer partnership building with a proven track record in negotiation and influence
- Inspiring, driving and engaging a large cross functional team – inclusively, and with care. Ability to create career paths, manage talent and drive leadership behaviours through the business
- Excellent financial management, and commercial acumen and the ability to execute on business plans through commercial, customer and shopper insights
- Existing retailer relationships within NZ are highly desirable
We may support relocation to NZ for the right candidate, candidate would need to be able to move quickly.
