We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

We're looking for a highly organised and relationship-focused Key Account Executive & VMI to join our New Zealand Sales team based in Auckland.

 

This newly evolved role has national responsibility for managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and is an opportunity to own the VMI process end-to-end, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal stock availability, inventory management and execution of customer initiatives.

 

This role combines customer relationship management, inventory planning, reporting, sales support and field activation coordination. You'll play a critical role in connecting customer demand, supply planning and field execution, ensuring the right products are available at the right place and time.

Your responsibilities

  • Be the lead on all things Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) for the Foodstuffs team.
  • Act as a replenishment contact (VMI) for North and South Island customers, managing the flow of inventory and ordering processes between Reckitt and the customer.
  • Play a key role within the Reckitt team to ensure service level targets are achieved through collaboration across Sales and Supply.
  • Lead supply reviews with the customer and act as the first point of contact for customer supply matters.
  • Manage forecast alignment between Reckitt and Foodstuffs systems to support a high level of forecast accuracy.
  • Create and manage regular reporting, analysis and insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop Field Sales materials and work with the Field Team to execute key commercial activities, ensuring effective communication between Account and Field Teams.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships internally and externally with key Foodstuffs stakeholders.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the role and across the wider team.
  • Support category reviews and customer presentations with relevant data, analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist with promotional planning and post-promotional analysis to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the Foodstuffs team with commercial reporting, forecasting and business reviews as required.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support where required.

The experience we're looking for

  • Experience in FMCG, retail, customer operations, account coordination, supply chain or sales support environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability with a high attention to detail.
  • Confidence working across multiple functions including Sales, Supply Chain and Customer Service.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with a broad stakeholder group.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data and reporting.
  • Experience working with major retail customers will be highly regarded. 
  • Previous Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
