Our Sales teams help to deliver Reckitt's purpose by building shared success with our customers, making access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness, and nourishment possible in-stores and online.

Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all of our channels, operating in highly competitive categories. This focus results in a dynamic, fast paced environment where cross functional teams are encouraged to collaborate to achieve success.

We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping the customer experience and influencing the journey of market-leading brands? As a Category Development Manager at Reckitt, your strategies will directly impact on our success in engaging shoppers. You'll partner with key customers using insights to inform their category strategy, whilst focusing on the fine details of the 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Place). In this position, you'll engage with a variety of teams to create category plans that resonate with customers and drive our brands to new heights. Your responsibilities

Reckitt 3D activation plan by customer ownership and execution 
 
LSM ownership 
·       Breakdown 3D strategy and targets by customer / channel 
·       Deploy to sales 
·       Ensure LSM targets achievement 
 
Must stock list & permanent shelf presence 
·       Recommendation breakdown by client and assortment performance review 
·       Strategy development by customer to ensure right shelf presence in line with RB’s strategy and match the customer’s specifics 
 
Visibility and promo plan (NPDs and EPDs) 
·       Strategic input (provide feedback and relevant ideas on campaigns concept development) 
·       Shelf presence breakdown/customer 
·       Secondary placements activation strategy, ROI calculation and implementation evaluation 
·       Promo and activation guidelines by customer 
·       Trade story/customer 
·       Performance review by customer 
 
Brand consumer promotion budget management 
·       Drive cost efficiencies/brand though accurate POSM forecast 
·       Plan, manage and provide input to the POSM manager (monthly) upon the Cons Promotion spending 
 
Sales force support 
·       Develop trade stories and call guidelines to support the initiatives deployment to customers  
·       Sales force coaching on in-market execution principles 
·       Develop and deploy Trade Marketing topics content during national meetings 
·       Field visits to understand in store 3D execution / LSM compliance – evaluation and learning 
 
Develop intentional partnerships with customers 
·       Nurture dialogue and contact points with customers to understand thinking and behavior and gain insight into customer strategies  
·       Develop compelling tailor-made brand recommendations  
·       Regularly monitor and improve in-market execution (field visits, 3D execution) 
·       Propose category management projects where applicable 
·       Provide regular category input towards customers, marketing and sales 
·       Monitor the competition activities within RB’s and complementary categories 
 
Customer meetings support 
·       Prepare Quarterly Business reviews, ad-hoc customer meeting and customer plans in-sync with Sales dep 
 

The experience we're looking for

2/3 years of experience in same role or similar  
Previous experience in FMCG/Pharma companies will be valuable. 
English/Spanish Advanced level
Sharp commercial instinct and a deep understanding of the Customer Management Process.
Analyses various data sources with ease, converting them into measurable and actionable plans.
Effective communicator and influencer, adept at stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
Proficient in using Syndicated Data (e.g., Nielsen / IRI) and tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant category management software.
