About the role

The purpose of this role is to develop and deploy Global Asset Standards for Household Care & Germ Protection Filling, Capping, and Upstream Equipment Technology for common production equipment within the Reckitt group, across all categories and geographies. The Global Technology Engineer will provide technical leadership, expertise, and support for equipment and systems related to filling, capping, and upstream equipment technology for liquids packing, and own standardisation of equipment and vendor pool to leverage cost, lead time, efficiency and best practices.

 

This is to support compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of filling, capping and upstream equipment in line with regulatory requirements (e.g. GMP, ATEX) and business objectives. The role requires the ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organisation, fostering a continuous improvement culture, with close collaboration with factories for effective implementation of equipment standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Equipment Standardisation Processes - Lead global standardization of Household Care & Germ Protection filling, capping, and upstream equipment by driving common equipment standards, CAPEX compliance, and preferred vendor selection across all regions.
  • Engineering Equipment Standards - Develop, deploy, and continuously improve global equipment standards and URSs, partnering with OEMs, Procurement, and Technical teams to enhance safety, quality, OEE, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Technical Expertise - Serve as the subject matter expert for filling, capping, and upstream packaging technologies, providing technical guidance on liquid and gel packaging systems while staying current on industry innovations and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Delivery - Provide technical leadership on global CAPEX projects, supporting URS development, vendor selection, OEM oversight, FAT/SAT execution, and site engineering teams throughout project delivery.
  • Compliance & Validation - Ensure equipment meets hygienic design, GMP, and regulatory requirements while supporting commissioning, qualification, validation, and acceptance testing of new or modified systems.
  • Vendor Management - Manage strategic OEM relationships through performance reviews, reliability monitoring, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance.
  • Project Support - Act as the global engineering expert for filling, capping, and upstream technologies, supporting capital projects, supplier selection, system integrations, and collaboration with vendors and automation teams.

The experience we're looking for

  • Proven experience driving equipment standardization across single-site, multi-site, or global manufacturing operations.
  • Strong CAPEX management expertise, including project prioritization, budgeting, performance monitoring, and delivery.
  • Experience working within global or matrixed organizations, effectively managing cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.
  • Deep technical expertise in filling, capping, and upstream equipment technologies, including material handling, storage, cleaning/CIP systems, and varying product viscosities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing utilities and infrastructure, including HVAC, drainage, compressed air, power, and data networking systems.
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience (including 2+ years in a senior engineering or project leadership role), a relevant Engineering degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD), and willingness to travel.

US salary ranges

USD $163,000.00 -  $245,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
