About the role

The primary responsibilities of the Site Quality Manager are to provide end-to-end leadership for the plant quality assurance and quality control functions to assure procedures, systems, and standards affecting plant production are in full compliance with all Company quality expectations and external regulatory requirements.  In addition, this position helps to drive a culture of quality at the site and governs the QMS/SOP policy implementation enabling the Company and/or local site to continuously meet or exceed expectations in delivering safe products of the highest quality standards to our consumers, while consistently meeting our customer needs.  

Your responsibilities

  • Implement Global & North American quality policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all appropriate Plant operating procedures are reviewed to be robust, trained, and verified for effectiveness on a continuous basis via quality audits, GEMBA walks, and quality KPI reviews.
  • Delivery of quality KPI targets incl passing corporate audit scores, meeting QC release Turnaround Time (TAT), Right First Time (RFT), prevention of recalls, & management of on time Deviations, Change Controls, and CAPAs.
  • Ensure robust batch record & QC review as part of quality release process, to ensure products are fit for distribution.
  • Develop and implement data tracking/feedback systems to ensure plant objectives and actions continue to satisfy consumer needs and consumer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for plant quality systems such as ISO9001:2008, GMP, Corporate Audit key elements.
  • Provide quality oversight and leadership across all plant functions to ensure alignment and support, high standards being maintained, defects and non-conformances being identified and reported timely.
  • Conduct audits of systems, operations, products, suppliers, utilities.
  • Responsible for QC laboratory staffing and oversight/performance incl Lab 5S, Lab Strategy, CAPEX.
  • Manage customer, corporate, & regulatory audits and requirements.
  • Member of the Site Leadership Team.

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum of a BA or BS degree in the sciences or engineering area.
  • Track record of progressively responsible quality and/or operational assignments in a fast paced Consumer Products environment with minimum 7 years experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing quality processes and strategies, leading managerial and professional technical personnel, coordinating execution of multiple projects in fast paced environment, driving improvement across the site in plant standards & housekeeping, GMPs, cleanliness, routine quality checks, procedural adherence, Right first time.
  • Background in managing microbiological OOS investigations and understanding hygienic design standards ie proper sloping, dead legs, clean design equipment, cleaning & sanitization protocols, etc.
  • Experience using quality tools such as SPC, Advanced Quality Planning, Control Plans, FMEA, Root-Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, LIMS, cross functional problem solving teams, etc.
  • Experienced in quality systems such as ISO 9001:2008, GMP, HACCP, and Auditing.
  • Good grasp of quality controls and design elements of purified water and filtered air systems
  • Must exhibit excellent communication and facilitation skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deal confidently and effectively with agents of governmental regulatory bodies as well as internal/external customers and suppliers.
  • A true partnership mindset & approach, supporting the Operations teams to succeed and driving strong ownership of quality down to the shop floor level through servant leadership.
  • Willingness and track record of strong presence on the production floor, to understand challenges & gaps first-hand and facilitate improvement & a culture of quality as the way we do work.

US salary ranges

USD $135,000.00 -  $203,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
