About the role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Brand Controlling Intern to support the Finance team in monitoring brand performance, evaluating marketing investments, and delivering financial insights to support decision-making. This internship offers exposure to both Finance and Marketing functions and provides hands-on experience in business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. 

To be eligible for the role, you must be enrolled in a University based in the EU and be able to obtain an internship/university agreement.

Your responsibilities

• Support monthly closing activities and financial reporting for assigned brands. 
• Assist in analyzing brand profitability, sales performance, and gross margin evolution. 

• Prepare variance analyses versus budget, forecast, and prior year results. 

• Consolidate financial information and maintain reporting dashboards. 

• Monitor advertising, promotion, and marketing expenditures. 

• Track actual spending against approved budgets. 

• Support the validation and control of marketing-related accruals and invoices. 

• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures. 

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. 

• Gather and analyze business assumptions from Marketing and Sales teams. 

• Support scenario analyses and evaluate business opportunities. 

• Collaborate closely with Brand Managers, Marketing teams, and Commercial Finance. 

• Help provide financial insights to support brand strategy and investment decisions. 

• Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects. 

• Extract and analyze data from financial and business systems. 

• Identify risks, opportunities, and key performance drivers. 

• Contribute to process improvements and reporting automation initiatives. 

The experience we're looking for

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

• Familiarity with Power BI, SAP, or other reporting tools is an advantage. 

• Strong analytical and numerical skills. 

• Experience performing tasks requiring high level of accuracy orientation to detail.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
