Our Sales teams help to deliver Reckitt's purpose by building shared success with our customers, making access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness, and nourishment possible in-stores and online. Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all of our channels, operating in highly competitive categories. This focus results in a dynamic, fast paced environment where cross functional teams are encouraged to collaborate to achieve success. We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

As a Customer Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement marketing and sales strategies and plans for the scope of responsibility, in accordance with the strategic objectives of Reckitt’s 4P identified as key performance indicators. In this role you will report to our Head of Customer Marketing and will be based in Bucharest.

Your responsibilities

  • Create local marketing strategies and plans based on the Global Success Model, along with the execution plans of the regional SEE group and local business needs
  • Prepare marketing strategies, sales strategies and local development plans, in line with the company strategy.
  • Responsible for achieving local strategic objectives - namely market share, net profit, country operating profit, gross margin
  • Develop the budget for visibility and merchandising (non-BEI) and ensure that the set objectives are achieved
  • Develop and implement an executional, functional and efficient model for marketing and merchandising processes and for achieving objectives
  • Analyze customer information, consumer trends, market analysis, demographics, pricing programs, competitive products and best promotional practices to build successful strategies
  • Provides support to the marketing and sales teams using all available data for all categories and Reckitt portfolio to contribute to the overall development of customers/channel
  • Coordinate the executional activities of the brands to exceed annual objectives
  • Responsible for developing and executing the portfolio strategy in line with the national commercial strategy and regional
  • Responsible for a granular annual planning process: defining sustainable KPIs, market share, 3D, 4P, non-BEI budget, promotion strategy, discipline regarding critical process pillars, responsibility for planning, managing and measuring the team's budget
  • Continuously improving portfolio management by identifying efficiency and profitability opportunities and overall improving category management, including effective budget management to achieve building a top line and brand
  • Build strategic relationships and collaborate with key industry players, agencies and suppliers
  • Organize regular meetings with the sales team to measure progress against performance objectives and define solutions for portfolio performance in accordance with objectives, including corrective actions
  • Conduct market visits to assess point-of-sale performance and make recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with the functional model for marketing and merchandising processes and for achieving objectives

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Marketing or a Business-related subject
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the FMCG market in Trade Marketing / Customer Marketing / Shopper Marketing or Category management
  • Proficient in using MS Office tools
  • Fluent Romanian and English
  • Strong commercial awareness and dynamism, business acumen
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated
  • Tenacious and resilient, determined to succeed even when faced with obstacles
