About the role

Ready to shape the future of tax strategy and governance? Reckitt is on the lookout for a Tax & Governance Manager RO/BG to lead all tax-related decisions and activities for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova. In this pivotal role, you will ensure compliance, optimize tax processes, and safeguard the organization’s financial integrity—because tax isn’t just numbers, it’s the backbone of sustainable business success.

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of iconic brands such as: Nurofen, Strepsils, Gaviscon, Durex, Vanish, Finish, giving you the chance to apply your expertise in tax and governance while expanding your knowledge in a dynamic environment. Your responsibilities

-    Offer a wide range of fiscal services in accordance with current fiscal Law
-    Stay responsible for planning of fiscal activities of you and your team 
-    Revision of all declarations/ calculations prepared by team with support & guidance from you (VAT, CIT & Deferred Tax, NBR, Statistics, WHT, SAFT,  Pillar 2, e-VAT, E-Transport, Private/Public CBCR etc.) 
-    Identify and mitigate fiscal risk, also considering business need

-    Stay constantly updated with all governmental tax changes and proactively announce FC, FD, Group Tax and local HR (when necessary)

-    Coordinate all fiscal projects derived from tax updates, working closely with IT and other streams involved
-    Maintain a good relationship with Tax office
-    Manage, together with team members, all taxes computations and keep deadlines all the time
-    Improve processes, coming with new approaches and share them with Finance department, and the business
-    Coordinate all fiscal controls and the role of being single point of contact (SPOC) with Tax Office
-    Be part of external audit exercises on Tax areas
-    Ensure that team maintain tax payer balance accurate and without overdue
-    Playing the role of finance business partner (FBP) in all aspects with implications on Tax area
-    Review of statutory balance together with Accounting team to spot any risks that might appear
-    A key role in Month end activities and guidance for finance department on tax matters
-    Coordinate with Group and external consultants for Transfer pricing files preparation & review of them for final approval
-    Stay focused on Internal Controls and Global Finance Framework
-    Responsible for people performance as individuals
-    Ensure a collaborative and trusty way of working

The experience we're looking for

  • strong experience in taxation area as previous Tax Manager or Chief Accountant for the last couple of years;
  • fluent level of English
  • strong knowledge of fiscal regulation
  • strong abilities to confidently represent the company in front of Tax Authorities
  • strong leadership skills & experience in managing teams
  • self-driven in addressing and partnering across the business with confidence and autonomy
  • very good MS Office knowledge, previous experience in SAP / similar ERP
