About the role
As Trade Controller Hungary you will ensure the proper controls, monitoring and completeness of trade investments by participating in the annual planning, quarterly forecasting and monthly group reporting processes and preparing business analyses for management and the Sales department. You will be based in Budapest, Hungary and will report to the Commercial Controller HU&ADR. To our new colleague in this position, we are providing a fixed-term contract for 2 years.
Your responsibilities
- Participate in annual planning and quarterly forecasting process, align trade investment targets with Sales department
- Application of the global trade policy with regards to trade investment and trade accruals
- Provide analysis to the Sales team, working closely with them to enable them to make accurate decisions to achieve business objectives
- Prepare customer profitability analyses and estimations based on business needs
- Participate the monthly group and internal reporting processes, prepare all internal reports by the given deadlines
- Participate in monthly closing procedures regarding the P&L (from GS to NR) and trade accruals
- Participate in regular discussions with the Sales team on customer/brand performance, portfolio mix and profitability
- Drive step change in promo management via 1) accelerate approval process; 2) minimal promo margin concept; 3) retrospective promo analysis
- Ensure compliance with RFCF and policies
- Prepare monthly net revenue estimation for flash reporting
- Approve trade POs and invoice matching in the SAP system
The experience we're looking for
- University or College degree in Finance & Accounting
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in Controlling, ideally in a fast-paced or multinational environment
- Excellent Excel skills
- Fluent Hungarian and English
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Strong sense of urgency and achievement
- Resilient and able to respond under pressure
- History of working with a meticulous eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Exceptional time management skills and an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
