About the role

This role will support hospital customers by taking a leadership role in the complete Hospital contracting life cycle from Sales Planning through RFP/award, Implementation and contract optimization..  You will manage your hospital accounts by providingeclinical support to healthcare professionals to assist them in making informed decisions about infant feeding and brand selection while growing Mead Johnson Nutrition’s reputation as a valued partner and a science based pediatric company to all hospital stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

Build Professional Engagement

  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers within strategic hospital accounts.
  • Leverage customer insights to position Mead Johnson Nutrition solutions and drive positive business outcomes.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of healthcare professionals’ environments, provincial and regional healthcare policies, competitive activities, and customer needs to develop account plans aligned with long-term goals.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clinical and business stakeholders while adhering to customer policies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Mead Johnson’s product portfolio, clinical evidence, and scientific knowledge, providing credible clinical support to customers.

Develop and Execute Operational Plans

  • Assess customer needs through a consultative approach, gaining insight into internal processes, policies, priorities, and decision-making structures.
  • Communicate and position Mead Johnson Nutrition’s value proposition throughout the hospital-to-discharge continuum.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders to support successful contract and business outcomes.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional resources to address customer needs effectively.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust short- and long-term account plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in product knowledge, clinical evidence, and infant nutrition.

Provide Clinical Expertise and Internal Support

  • Partner with Medical Marketing, Hospital Operations, and Hospital Account teams to support corporate initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with Head Office to develop customer-facing materials and resources.
  • Provide clinical guidance and expertise to support customer engagement and business objectives.

Leverage Resources Effectively and Efficiently

  • Utilize CRM systems to plan, track, and manage customer interactions and account activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, account, and activity records.
  • Manage budgets responsibly and optimize available resources to maximize business impact.
  • Share best practices and insights to support territory, regional, and company objectives.

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of successful hospital sales experience with a proven track record of achieving business objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of the hospital environment, including experience working with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and/or Provincial Health Authorities.
  • Experience in pediatric nutrition, preferably as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal Dietitian, or Pediatric Dietitian.
  • Demonstrated experience managing tenders, negotiations, and complex healthcare purchasing decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Nursing, Nutrition, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Nurse (RN) designation preferred.
  • NICU clinical practice experience considered a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of clinical evidence, infant nutrition, and hospital purchasing processes.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key clinical and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and account management skills.
