About the role

You’ll have the accountability to build and lead the Reckitt’s category growth strategies and define the go-to-market strategy across the 4Ps, driving excellence in in-store execution, thus enabling Reckitt to execute business growth plans and be capable of delivering the planned net revenue and company operating profit on a consistent basis. You will lead a team of trade marketing members overseeing the achievement of customer and channel plans. You’ll also be responsible for the development of the trade marketing team building a strong talent bench for the local and international talent pool. Trade Marketing at Reckitt is challenging and rewarding career path, in which you will oversee sales forecasts and sales strategy, proposing and directing the execution of programs to maximize sales volume potential to overachieve plans.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Trade Marketers and Business Analyst, closely partnering with sales and marketing functions in delivering business objectives.
    • Drive sales volume and gross sales value, optimize product mix, and manage trade spend to achieve net sales and gross margin targets.
    • Increase market share, distribution, instore visibility, and space share for Reckitt portfolio of brands across Modern Trade, Pharmacy, Convenience chains, eCommerce and GT.
    • Lead annual sales channel planning process, integrating brand plans with channel objectives.
    • Custodian of overall Trade Spend allocation and control in Singapore.
  • Lead Trade Marketing team in evaluating monthly offtake data and develop needful trade plans and strategies to support the sales ambition.
  • Develop category strategies for key channels and customers, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct regular market visits to assess product availability, instore execution standards and visibility; monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and understand their needs and insights, partnering with channel heads to develop robust customized channel plans.
  • Determine channel trade spending strategies, manage Trade Spend and A&P budgets, develop effective promotions, and optimize product mix to maximize revenue and margin.
  • Develop joint business plans with key accounts, collaborate on category management programs, and negotiate trading terms.
  • Integrated Business Planning; ensure alignment of marketing and sales activities, develop activity grids, and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Lead and motivate the team, build capabilities, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

The experience we're looking for

 

  • More than 10 years of experience in trade marketing and sales management in the FMCG industry
  • Strong understanding of retail and channel landscape and consumer behaviour
  • High agility in mental mindset, able to work across multiple brands and categories concurrently.
  • Strong competency in data analysis and managing huge data sets, translating them into tangible actions.
  • Confident and comfortable working in and with large and matrix cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of market research and data analysis tools.
  • Key business partner to Country Manager
