Lead Legal Counsel - GBS ROW


Reporting to the Legal Director, Global Business Solutions, you will serve as the lead legal support for RB’s B2B business in Asia, Middle East and Africa. In addition to being a member of the Global Business Solutions legal team and working with Reckitt’s in-market legal teams, you will work closely with members of other business and corporate functions (including marketing, supply, regulatory, R&D, category development organisation and brand protection) while supporting the commercial function.  You will handle a broad spectrum of commercial legal issues, including the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, assessing and advising on advertising and marketing issues, supporting the creation and development of new go-to-market models, and handling risk management and legal compliance matters.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the business in its efforts to identify, negotiate, secure and maintain B2B agreements involving product supply, branding and marketing and related aspects.
  • Coordinate legal support and advice to the Global Business Solutions team in the AMEA region with other members of the Global Business Solutions legal team and other functions within the Global Business Solutions business, including regulatory, supply, R&D and marketing.
  • Support, in conjunction with other regional and global functions, product innovation arising from or necessary to the Global Business Solutions business.
  • Lead and assist in the development of templates, training and other resources to support the legal, commercial and other functional teams involved in RB’s B2B business activities.



  • Degree in common law, preferably from the United Kingdom or a Commonwealth country
  • Qualified to practice law.
  • 7 to 12 years of post-qualification experience, with experience in both top-tier law firm and in-house environments preferred.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Work experience in a multi-national environment, with experience in Asia, Middle East or Africa preferred.
  • Experience in B2B and the e-commerce space preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong legal and commercial acumen.
  • The role will be based in Singapore. Occasional visits to other markets in the region may be required.
