About the role

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning people strategies with business objectives to enhance workforce performance and operational efficiency. As a strategic partner to Site Leadership, this role ensures that HR policies, programs, and initiatives support business goals while fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

In addition, this role is responsible for identifying organizational training needs and designing, planning, and implementing effective learning and development programs, policies, and procedures to address those needs. The HRBP will oversee the day-to-day activities of training facilitators, drive training initiatives, and ensure learning programs effectively enhance employee capability, engagement, and productivity.

Your responsibilities

HR Business Partner (HRBP)

  • Partner with site leadership to align HR strategies and initiatives with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers by providing HR insights, workforce analytics, and practical recommendations to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee performance.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, business expansion, and process improvement projects.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with managers on workforce planning, staffing requirements, and talent management strategies.
  • Work closely with Centers of Excellence (COE) to implement career development and talent retention programs.
  • Drive performance management processes by ensuring clear goal setting, regular performance reviews, and constructive feedback mechanisms.
  • Coach and support supervisors and managers in addressing performance issues and developing their teams.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives to build a strong talent pipeline

Operations Training

  • Identify organizational training needs through job analysis, skills assessments, career path mapping, and consultation with department managers.
  • Develop and maintain site skill matrices to ensure workforce capability requirements are met.
  • Design, develop, and deliver individual and group training programs that address business and operational needs.
  • Assess employee skills, performance, and productivity to identify development opportunities and performance gaps.
  • Develop and manage the annual site training calendar, including both internal and external training programs.
  • Plan, monitor, and control the annual training budget to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Implement effective learning methodologies and training solutions that support business objectives.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and organizational performance to ensure learning initiatives deliver measurable business results.
  • Develop training curricula and learning pathways aligned with organizational goals and competency requirements.
  • Manage training systems, technologies, and resources required to support learning and development activities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, training innovations, and learning best practices.
  • Coordinate applications for training certifications and government training fund incentives with the Department of Skill Development.
  • Maintain training records and provide documentation to support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Prepare training reports, metrics, and analysis as required by management.
  • Manage and maintain training facilities and learning resources, including the site training center, to support employee development initiatives.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or professional HR certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources within a manufacturing environment, including employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • At least 3 years of experience in training, learning and development, or capability building.
  • Proven experience partnering with business leaders to drive people strategies and organizational performance.
  • Strong track record in developing, implementing, and evaluating successful training and development programs.
  • Experience managing training budgets, training calendars, and compliance-related training requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of labor laws, employee relations practices, and HR policies.
  • Experience supporting site operations or plant leadership teams in a business partnering capacity.Knowledge of Department of Skill Development (DSD) training certification and training fund processes.Experience leading organizational change, employee engagement, and culture initiatives
