LIMS Associate - Site Deployment SME
The LIMS Associate – Site Deployment Support role contributes to Reckitt’s digital transformation across R&D by supporting QC laboratories transitioning to a standardised Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Working under the direction of the Site Deployment SME Lead, this role provides operational and coordination support to enable successful site deployments. It helps ensure QC teams are prepared, data is ready, and processes are aligned with global standards and quality expectations.
The role collaborates closely with local QC teams, global project teams, and IT&D to support consistent and compliant implementation of LIMS across sites.
Role Scope
This role supports the execution of site-level LIMS deployment activities under the guidance of the Site Deployment SME Lead.
Key focus areas include data preparation, process documentation, training coordination, and supporting user readiness activities. The associate plays a hands-on role in assisting the delivery of deployment milestones such as data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and go-live readiness.
The role also acts as a local support contact for QC users, helping to gather inputs, resolve issues, and ensure effective engagement throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Responsibilities & Activities:
Data Preparation & Master Data Support
- Support the collection, organisation, and formatting of QC laboratory master data (e.g., methods, specifications, materials, instruments, workflows).
- Assist in data cleansing and validation in line with global standards.
- Work with QC SMEs to resolve data issues and ensure completeness.
- Prepare datasets to support migration and system configuration activities.
Process Documentation & Analysis Support
- Assist in documenting existing QC processes and workflows.
- Support mapping of local processes against global LIMS standards.
- Identify and highlight gaps or deviations, escalating to the SME Lead.
- Contribute to capturing future-state process documentation.
Site Enablement, Training & Adoption Support
- Support updates to SOPs, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in developing and formatting training materials (e.g., One Point Lessons).
- Coordinate training sessions, logistics, and attendance tracking.
- Provide first-line support to QC users during training and early system use.
Compliance & Change Management Support
- Assist in preparing, tracking, and maintaining local change controls.
- Support compilation of documentation required for validation and compliance activities.
- Ensure documentation aligns with site quality procedures.
- Escalate risks, issues, or compliance concerns to the SME Lead.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support communication between QC teams, SMEs, and the Site Deployment SME Lead.
- Assist in organising workshops, UAT sessions, and readiness activities.
- Track actions, follow up on deliverables, and maintain implementation logs.
- Provide administrative and coordination support across deployment activities.
Readiness & Go-Live Support
- Support readiness activities to ensure QC teams are prepared for new processes and systems.
- Reinforce key communications and training messages locally.
- Provide hands-on support during go-live and hypercare periods.
- Capture, log, and escalate user issues to the SME Lead and project team.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience, Skills & Competencies
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in QC, laboratory operations, or a regulated environment preferred.
- Exposure to data handling, documentation, or system implementation activities.
- Experience supporting improvement or change initiatives is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with data and documentation.
- Good organisational and coordination skills.
- Effective communication skills when working with local teams and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English both verbally and written.
- Ability to follow structured processes and guidance from senior roles.
- Basic understanding of data integrity principles (ALCOA+) is beneficial.
