LIMS Senior Associate - Site Deployment SME Lead
The LIMS Site Deployment SME plays a key role in Reckitt’s digital transformation agenda for the R&D function, enabling QC laboratories to transition to an effective, standardised Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The role works closely with IT&D and business teams to unlock value within the R&D digital strategy through standardisation, compliance and productivity improvements.
This position operates as a connector across global and local functions, contributing to the global rollout vision for LIMS and supporting QC operations to adopt harmonised processes aligned with Reckitt’s overall quality and digital strategy.
Role Scope
The role is responsible for preparing, coordinating and enabling QC laboratories for a global LIMS implementation. This includes collating, cleansing and organising master data, analysing QC processes to identify harmonisation opportunities, and ensuring alignment with global process frameworks.
The role serves as the local point of contact (POC) for site Quality/QC managers, supervisors, and end users, working closely with global functions, including the Global QC Excellence team and the LIMS Core project team, to ensure system design, configuration and workflows align with QC operational requirements. A key responsibility of the role is driving end‑user readiness, adoption and training for the LIMS system, ensuring teams are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills required to perform effectively upon go‑live.
It involves supporting essential local resource planning and ensuring QC teams participate in key activities for successful deployment (Design, data, UAT, training, go‑live).
Responsibilities & Activities:
Data Preparation & Master Data Management
- Collate, cleanse and structure QC laboratory master data required for LIMS implementation (methods, specifications, materials, instruments, stability protocols, workflows).
- Work with QC SMEs to validate datasets and ensure readiness for global data migration activities.
- Ensure alignment of local master data with global naming, structure and governance standards.
Process Analysis & Harmonisation
- Analyse current QC processes to identify opportunities for simplification, harmonisation and standardisation across labs.
- Map local processes against global process frameworks and evaluate gaps or deviations and adopt global LIMS standards.
- Contribute to defining future‑state workflows in collaboration with the Global QC Excellence and LIMS Core teams.
Site Enablement, Training & Change Adoption
- Owns the review, update, and alignment of local procedures, SOPs, guidance, and training materials to support LIMS implementation.
- Develops/improves training materials, including One Point Lessons (translated into local language where required).
- Delivers end‑user training using a train‑the‑trainer model, ensuring consistent knowledge transfer and sustainable capability within QC teams.
Compliance & Change Management
- Partners with local Quality to ensure the LIMS solution meets site‑specific regulatory and compliance requirements, proactively identifying and escalating risks to site leadership and the deployment team.
- Ensures local change controls are raised, approved, and maintained in the appropriate status, in line with site procedures and quality system requirements, throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as the POC for QC teams, SMEs and end users throughout implementation activities.
- Work closely with global IT&D, the LIMS Core project team and Global QC Excellence to align design, configuration and operations.
- Coordinate local participation in design workshops, user testing, training, validation and readiness activities.
Readiness & Adoption Enablement
- Ensure QC teams understand process changes and new ways of working enabled by LIMS.
- Support communication, training reinforcement and change awareness within QC labs.
- Escalate risks, issues, and data/process challenges to global project leads as needed.
- Act as a key resource for Hypercare / post‑go‑live stabilization support at site.
