About the role

Responsible for planning and ensuring the timely availability of packaging materials to support production requirements. The role manages material planning, inventory control, supplier delivery performance, and planning master data to ensure supply continuity, optimal inventory levels, and efficient manufacturing operations.

Your responsibilities

1. Material Requirements Planning

  • Plan and execute material requirements through SAP MRP to ensure timely availability of packaging materials.
  • Monitor material supply status and identify potential shortages or supply risks.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Production Planning, Warehouse and Suppliers to resolve material issues.
  • Support production continuity by managing material constraints and recovery actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying opportunities to improve planning process, inventory performance, cost and service level to determine
  • Understand material usage patterns and demand requirement to determine future replenishment pattern.

2. Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory and safety stock levels to balance material availability and inventory targets.
  • Monitor inventory health and take actions on excess, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
  • Review planning parameters and recommend inventory optimization opportunities.
  • Support inventory accuracy and inventory reduction initiatives.

3. Supplier Performance & Delivery Management

  • Monitor supplier delivery performance through OTIF and agreed service levels.
  • Follow up on delayed deliveries and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries to ensure materials arrive according to production requirements.
  • Communicate supply risks and recovery plans to relevant stakeholders.

4. Planning Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain planning master data including lead times, MOQ, safety stock and planning parameters.
  • Ensure planning data accuracy in SAP to support effective material planning.
  • Identify and implement improvements to planning processes and system utilization.
  • Support system enhancement and process improvement initiatives.

5. Performance Monitoring & Business Support

  • Monitor and report planning KPIs including Material Availability, DOS and OTIF.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective actions for supply issues.
  • Support product launches, business continuity activities and improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Work with procurement to regularly review and improve Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and Lead Time (LT) to optimise inventory and supply performance

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Material Planning, Production Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, or related Supply Chain functions.
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, and replenishment processes.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and planning-related reporting tools.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong data analysis and data management skills, with the ability to interpret planning, inventory and supplier performance data.
