About the role
Support R&D Development Laboratory and Pilot Plant Manager to ensure compliance to relevant Quality and Regulatory guidelines including those for Medical Devices and Cosmetics, whilst adhering to full Health and Safety regulations.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide management of the R&D Development Laboratories, Pilot areas and associated facilities to ensure compliance to relevant Quality and Regulatory guidelines including those for Medical Devices and Cosmetics, whilst adhering to full Health and Safety regulations.
Your responsibilities
Quality:
- Be aware, accountable and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) rules & regulations.
- Enforce quality mind & awareness for working in area by following documented procedures & follow good documentation practice.
- Be compliance to requirements of ISO13485 and other relevant regulatory requirements as required based on role & function responsibility.
- Always think “Quality is my responsibility”.
Safety, Health & Environment:
- Be aware, accountable for safety, health and environment in workplace all time to ensure free-accident and good environment area of working.
- Follow which support the safety, health and environment regulations, company policies by working safely, reporting unsafe condition / unsafe action / near miss accident to supervisor as well as suggest for any improvement.
- Be compliance to requirements of ISO14001, ISO45001, other relevant EHS regulatory and company EHS requirements as required based on role & function responsibility.
- Always think "Safety, Health and Environmental is my responsibility".
General:
- To support line manager for incoming materials and output materials registration information and system.
- To manage materials storage condition and SDS of chemical.
- To track, update and manage calibration, preventive maintenance of equipment status with team. Update Equipment status in Equipment Master List.
- Ensure the equipment is in good condition and calibrated according to the assigned calibration schedule.
- To create update SOP’s covering Quality, Environment and H&S standards.
- Ensure lab and Pilot is well stocked, kept clean and waste safely removed.
- To interpret the calibration results of equipment from supplier.
- Ensuring adequate supply of materials to keep in timeline for development activities.
- Comply and record equipment qualifications record where required.
- To access the quality and validity of data generated and draw conclusions from that data ensuring accurate reports are written.
- To support development trial in lab and pilot, ensure that all facility available all the time.
- To prepare Lab and Pilot activity risk assessment and Environment Aspect.
- To support complete and follow up H&S self-assessment action.
- To develop and maintain scientific skills and awareness of current scientific areas relevant to company through training (Internal and external) and background reading.
- To access the quality and validity of data generated and draw conclusions from the data ensuring accurate reports are written.
- Though continuous improvement identify and improve methods of working to enhance laboratory performance.
- To develop and maintain scientific skills and awareness of current scientific areas relevant to the company through training(Internal and external) and background reading.
- Any other duties are carried out as appropriate.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience within product development/process development role within FMCG, medical devices or Healthcare environment is essential.
- Formulation R&D experience is desirable.
- Lab management experience is desirable.
- Specific knowledge and experience of underpinning durex technologies(for example, latex and/or gels experience) is an advantage, as is medical device or cosmetics experience.
- Working knowledge if GMP is essential.
- General knowledge of Quality Management System is preferred e.g. CAPA, Document Management, Material Controls, Equipment & Facility Controls and Production & Process Controls.
- General knowledge of ISO9001and ISO13485 is desirable.
- English Language good proficiency level, both verbal and written.
