About the role

Reckitt is looking for an experienced Reliability Manager to join our team and help us maintain workspaces that are safe, efficient, and truly exceptional. We’re searching for someone who’s passionate about creating and sustaining an environment where everything runs smoothly—through strong processes, smart planning, and attention to detail. In this role, you’ll have the chance to apply your expertise across a variety of facilities, leading key projects that improve how our workplaces operate and how people experience them every day.

As our Reliability Manager, you’ll take the lead in shaping and driving a strong Reliability and Maintenance strategy. Your work will ensure that our plant operates safely, reliably, and fully in line with regulatory and cGMP standards. You’ll oversee asset integrity, champion continuous improvement, and manage R&M budgets to support long-term operational stability. This role calls for a confident leader—someone who can build a high‑performing reliability culture, enhance equipment performance, and collaborate effectively at every level of the organization.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure appropriate resources, assets, and time are available to implement a systematic Reliability and Maintenance strategy, using clearly defined performance indicators to consistently meet targets and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained to approved standards to deliver safe, reliable, and compliant performance in line with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) principles.
  • Monitor plant reliability, availability, and capability to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities, and implement structured action plans.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Reliability and Maintenance management systems, standards, and procedures to meet operational, regulatory, and business needs.
  • Ensure a consistent and standardized approach to maintenance practices across all shifts and departments.
  • Agree annual Repair and Maintenance (R&M) budgets with the Site Operations Manager and ensure spending is controlled within approved limits.
  • Determine when specialist or external support is required and ensure such support delivers value in a cost effective and compliant manner.
  • Ensure all policies, standards, and procedures comply with company, regulatory, statutory, Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, and cGMP requirements.
  • Implement company policies and site rules in line with corporate governance expectations.
  • Embed and sustain a strong Continuous Improvement culture throughout the Reliability team.
  • Benchmark Reliability and Maintenance performance and standards against internal and external best practices, ensuring identified improvement opportunities are effectively delivered.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical discipline (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably in a high care industry such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or food.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ engineering leadership or management experience, with demonstrated success leading engineering, maintenance, or reliability teams.
  • Strong background in engineering, maintenance, and reliability practices.
  • Solid background in facilities management within corporate or industrial settings.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Proven ability to apply structured technical problem solving techniques to complex operational challenges.
  • Ability to analyze data, define KPIs, and use performance metrics to drive improvement.
  • Established track record of leading projects, managing vendor partnerships, and juggling multiple priorities.
  • Resilient problem-solving approach and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator with strong collaborative skills, able to influence and engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
