Sales

Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all of our channels, operating in highly competitive categories. We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.
About the role
We're looking for a highly organised and relationship-focused Key Account Manager looking after our Household and Health & Beauty categories.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Foodstuffs South Island business across both our Household and Health portfolios, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to drive growth, execution excellence and commercial outcomes.
Based in Christchurch, the Key Account Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for the South Island customer account, developing strategic customer relationships, leading commercial plans and delivering sustainable business growth.
Your responsibilities
- Bringing customer Sales Plan to life and achieving the defined key strategic objectives within the customer.
- Building a long-term partnership with the customer across all levels, including but not limited to, Category Managers, Assistant Category Managers, Category Assistants, and VMI Managers.
- Own the omnichannel promotional strategy and execution for the customer, covering trade budget management, range, planogram, digital shelf, and any other 4P initiative while ensuring this is accurately reflected and captured in the internal forecasting tools across GS, TI, and NR.
- Managing customer negotiations in relation to Reckitt commercial strategy and customer trading terms.
- Developing new product launch plans and ensuring a successful omnichannel implementation and execution.
- Ongoing review of the customer promotional plan and strategy with a focus on ROI across trade investment and/or profitability.
- Maintenance of the baseline and promotional forecasts through Accelerate (Sales Planning & Forecasting Tool) to ensure promotional activity is accurately reflected in the system and trended forecast for GS/TI/NR is +/- 5%.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with the Field Sales team to help deliver the execution of the customer Sales Plan at store level. This includes regular touch points with the Head of Field Sales and Regional Field Managers and attending weekly WIP meetings when required.
The experience we're looking for
- 3-5 years’ experience within FMCG would be favourable.
- Experience of influencing and engaging key stakeholders in own and customer organisations.
- Additional functional experience, preferably in Marketing, Trade Marketing and/or Finance would be an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across customers and internal teams.
- Proven analytical capability with experience using data and reporting to support decision-making and drive outcomes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a desire to build a long-term career in FMCG Sales and Account Management.
