About the role

The Financial Analyst - Siebel will be responsible to lead support of Reckitt’s Trade Promotion Planning system, Accelerate. This includes supporting the Sales promotion planning process, P&L analysis and Reporting. Additionally, the user will be responsible to ensure trade promotions are compliant with policies and best practices.  

The position holder will have a full understanding of the customer trade investment process with focus on planning, trade budgets, baseline management, promotion set up, and settlements. The role is considered as the Accelerate system SME, acting as a liaison between the user and the system support team.  The role will also know all interfacing systems including the user, customer and item setup process and potential automated outputs of the data. The role will be co-leading the Accelerator system training for new hires and ongoing user training sessions to provide best practices for the business and users. 

Your responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for Accelerate and guide users and the business on best practices
  • Ensure all new and existing users are trained properly by providing on-boarding sessions as well as ongoing training sessions on Accelerate, including reporting and supporting systems and processes. 
  • Teach users the “How To” on Accelerate actions and the effects it has on the promotions and P&L
  • Provide first level defence and solution user issues/questions, including investigation, raising and following up on support tickets. 
  • Use the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) imbedded analytics to develop and enhance sales reports and provide analysis to the business.  Must be able to create, modify and maintain a standard set of analytical/drillable reports using the OBIEE reporting suite.
  • Lead UAT testing of any system enhancements and processes from a business perspective for the US in conjunction with applicable IT teams.
  • Responsible for system security while ensuring technical maintenance issues are properly addressed for users with the IT support.
  • Responsible for data management and integrity, providing non-compliance reporting to ensure strategic P&L and financial accrual expectations are met.
  • Work and align with Sales and Trade Governance teams to ensure that current Siebel plans are compliant with Reckitt policies and regulations.  Assist users in resolving any noncompliant issues before each month’s accrual.
  • Lead and kick off annual contract review project in conjunction with the Trade Governance Team. Ensure promotions in Accelerate for annual agreement are set up appropriately based on the agreement terms and proper contract support has been obtained 

The experience we're looking for

  • BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
  • Minimum 2-4 years Siebel and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition experience, a plus  
  • Proven strong analytical skills, ability to review data, draw conclusions and implement learnings is a must
  • Strong oral, written communication, presentation and training skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills.  Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to complete multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • General understanding of the commercial functions (Marketing, Sales) and the retail environment of a CPG company
  • Computer proficient (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Good understanding of general system/database logic and interfaces
