About the role
As the GBS RTR Cross Functional Manager, you will lead and oversee Record-to-Report (RTR) operations across supported entities and markets. You will drive governance, operational performance, and process excellence across multiple RTR areas, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and timely period-end close execution.
You will manage and develop a cross-functional team supporting core accounting and reporting activities delivered by GBS, including journal entry processing, accrual and reserve accounting, reconciliations, and close support. Working closely with Finance, Controllership, Supply Chain, Tax, and other stakeholders, you will help resolve issues, drive standardisation, and implement improvements that strengthen financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
The specific mix of RTR processes within scope may evolve over time based on business priorities, volume, and maturity of the operating model.
Your responsibilities
- Lead, govern and continuously improve RTR operations, ensuring alignment with global standard processes, accounting policies, controls, and defined ways of working
- Oversee period-end close execution, including journal entry review, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Ensure accurate and timely completion of all RTR reconciliations.
- Drive SLAs and KPIs to ensure performance targets are met across captive and outsourced teams
- Partner with Controllership, Tax, Supply Chain, and other Finance stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
- In conjunction with the RTR GPO, drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across RTR processes
- Review and publish operational performance reporting and insights to support decision-making
- Ensure appropriate documentation, data quality, and controls are maintained to support audit and compliance requirements
- Develop team capabilities, support talent development, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
The experience we're looking for
- 5–7 years of experience in Record-to-Report, accounting operations, or related finance processes within a shared services or process-driven environment
- Experience leading teams and managing performance through SLAs and KPIs
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, journal entries, accruals, reserves, reconciliations, and period-end close
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and reporting tools
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across functions
