About the role

As the GBS RTR Cross Functional Senior Manager (Band B), you will provide senior leadership and accountability for the delivery and governance of Record-to-Report (RTR) activities executed by Global Business Services across supported entities and markets. This role is responsible for setting direction, managing risk, and ensuring consistent, high-quality RTR execution aligned with global standards. 

You will lead the RTR management team and oversee core accounting and reporting activities delivered by GBS, including journal entry processing, accrual and reserve accounting, reconciliations, and period-end close support. Working closely with Controllership, Finance, Supply Chain, Tax, and the RTR Global Process Owner (GPO), you will drive standardisation, strengthen controls, and continuously evolve the RTR operating model. 

The specific mix of RTR processes within scope may evolve over time based on business priorities, volume, and operating model maturity. 

Your responsibilities

  • Provide senior leadership and governance across GBS-delivered RTR operations, ensuring alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, and global standard ways of working
  • Define and maintain RTR governance frameworks, including close calendars, reconciliation standards, escalation thresholds, and control requirements 
  • Oversee period-end close performance, providing senior review and challenge over key journal entries, accruals, reserves, and reconciliations 
  • Own RTR risk management and audit readiness for GBS-delivered activities, including remediation of control issues 
  • Set and monitor the RTR performance framework (SLAs, KPIs, close metrics) and hold teams accountable for outcomes 
  • Partner with the RTR Global Process Owner (GPO) to drive standardisation, automation, data quality and continuous improvement across RTR processes 
  • Drive transformation initiatives from the GPO focused on close acceleration, automation, accuracy, and data integrity 
  • Lead and develop RTR management and senior analyst teams, ensuring capability development, performance management, and succession planning 

The experience we're looking for

  • 8–12 years of experience in Record-to-Report, financial accounting, or related finance operations
  • Proven experience leading RTR delivery within a shared services or process-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, journal entries, accruals, reserves, reconciliations, and period-end close
  • Experience operating in a global or multi-entity environment
  • Strong executive communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills
