About the role
Join us supporting the financial operations of our Mexico hub. You’ll lead cost center setup, manage budgets, and drive planning and forecasting, while partnering closely with our UK GBS Finance team. This role offers the chance to influence transformation initiatives, optimize costs, and implement productivity improvements in a dynamic, global environment.
Your responsibilities
- Local Hub Setup: Establish and manage cost centers and related structures.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for all local stakeholders regarding cost elements and initiatives to strengthen the brand.
- Month-End Closing & Variance Analysis: Ensure accurate reporting and analysis of financial variances.
- Budgetary Control: Oversee internal and third-party costs, including purchase order (PO) support and GRIR management.
- Planning & Forecasting: Prepare and load all necessary data for planning and forecasting cycles.
- Collaboration with GBS Finance Manager (UK): Align on hub plans and forecasts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Captive Cost Management: Monitor and control captive costs effectively.
- Productivity Initiatives: Identify and implement ideas to drive captive productivity and deliver cost savings.
The experience we're looking for
We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience in a similar industry and prior exposure to Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) environments. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following critical skills:
- Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to navigate uncertain or evolving situations effectively.
- Agility in Prioritization: Skilled at managing and adjusting multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- GBS Expertise: Strong understanding of processes and best practices within GBS operations.
- Financial Impact Awareness: Ability to interpret Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and assess their financial implications.
- Transformation Insight: Understanding of transformation initiatives, their financial impact, and capability to track progress and outcomes.
