About the role

The Tax Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all tax processes for Essential Home, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws, as well as with global tax policies and procedures. This role is key to minimizing tax risks, ethically and efficiently optimizing the tax burden, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategies. Essential Home is a division of Reckitt Benckiser focused on home care products such as Air Wick, Mortein, Calgon, and Cillit Bang.

Your responsibilities

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare and review tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, withheld taxes).
  • Ensure compliance with monthly and annual tax obligations, including electronic accounting.
  • Lead processes for recovering favorable balances through refunds or offsets.
  • Analyze foreign payments and determine applicable withholdings using international treaties.
  • Prepare a “defense file” for uncertain tax positions and SAT audits.
  • Conduct analysis and submit declarations related to final beneficiaries, low-tax jurisdictions, multilateral instruments, reportable schemes, and relevant transactions.

Transfer Pricing Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of the Transfer Pricing Informative Return and Local File.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to document intercompany transactions in accordance with arm’s length principles.
  • Advise the management team on risks and strategies related to transfer pricing.

Local and Corporate Accounting Reporting:

  • Prepare tax closings.

  • Perform local accounting entries and tax reconciliations.
  • Generate corporate tax reports.

Tax Consulting and Planning:

  • Develop tax strategies to optimize the tax burden.
  • Stay up to date on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
  • Implement internal tax policies and procedures.
  • Optimize tax processes and systems within the organization.

Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the tax team.
  • Promote continuous training in tax and regulatory matters.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor´s degree in acounting, finance, law or similar fields
  • At least 10 years of experience in corporate tax management
  • Advance English level
  • Solid background in accounting or business administration.
  • A track record of analytical excellence and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability in managing time and organising work efficiently.
  • Experience with financial reporting, analysis, and accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.

 

Desired qualifications

-SAP, BlackLine experience

-Master´s degree in a related field

-Experience in multinational companies and structures: cash pooling, management fees, royalties.
