About the role

Global Marketing Manager plays a key role in developing the overall category strategy and global innovation pipeline, with a focus on MENARP & Africa. Interacts, internally, with the Consumer & Insights, R&D, Shopper Marketing, Finance and Country Marketing teams to lead the development of the Innovation pipeline and to guide the Global team structures to bring it to market. Also influence the country teams to participate to scale innovation platforms across the Globe.

Work closely with Regulatory and Legal teams to ensure portfolio readiness for today and future.

Your responsibilities

  • To develop, recommend, and lead the strategy and innovation workstreams for delivering future growth of brand segment.
  • Create segment level innovation plans basis strong consumer understanding
  • Develop the initiative with R&D and CMI by creating product and positioning plans and testing with consumers to develop a fully validated pipeline
  • NPDs/EPDs 
    • Draw up and deploy the Product Development brief in conjunction with Category (Global) R&D, Supply, Sales and Finance functions. 
    • Regularly survey and understand consumer, market environment to understand trends capture ideas and develop concepts which lead to product development (supported by Consumer & Market Insights team)
    • Coordinate with market teams on brand learnings, new projects, market understanding 
    • Ensure timely and within cost development of products as per the brief 
    • Ensure successful Launch to country/market teams
  • Identify and implement profit enhancing ideas on the brand 
    • To manage a brand within the context of the agreed strategies to maximize long term profitability   
  • To initiate and manage market research projects to deliver powerful consumer and customer insights as the basis for long term brand growth. Develop these insights into achievable innovation plans 

The experience we're looking for

  • Min 10 Years of relevant experience
  • Able to demonstrate outstanding marketing skills (brand building, brand activation, digital marketing & product sustainability) and potential, developed within an FMCG environment 
  • Proficient in consumer insights and analytics, with a talent for turning data into creative strategy. 
  • Thorough knowledge of the sales & marketing processes and has a strong commercial awareness, P & L management and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to communicate captivating brand stories and drive marketing innovation. 
  • MBA degree in Marketing & Sales is preferred.
