About the role
The role of the Shopper & Activation Executive is responsible for delivering best‑in‑class brand execution across all Irish retail and pharmacy channels. This role leads in‑store communications, POS design, activation development, and customer‑focused navigation solutions that make it easier for shoppers to find, shop and choose Reckitt brands.
This position translates brand and commercial strategy into clear, effective in‑store experiences, driving visibility, conversion and consistency across every customer touchpoint.
Your responsibilities
1. In‑Store Communications & POS Development
- Develop and implement in‑store communication materials and POS solutions that are clear, consistent and customer‑friendly.
- Deliver full POS suites for campaigns, NPD, promotions and priority brand moments.
- Ensure all communications support a seamless and intuitive shopping journey.
2. Customer‑Centric Activation
- Advocate for the shopper across all in‑store executions, ensuring materials are easy to understand and aligned to shopper needs.
- Use shopper missions and behaviours to inform messaging hierarchy, layout and navigation.
3. Brand Consistency & Supplier Alignment
- Collaborate with the Brand team to ensure all in‑store touchpoints uphold Reckitt brand identity and tone.
- Develop and enforce supplier branding guidelines, ensuring consistent, high‑quality representation across stores.
4. Retail Media & Innovation
- Support the Shopper Marketing Manager in exploring and implementing retail media opportunities, digital POS solutions, and new in‑store technologies.
- Identify test‑and‑learn opportunities in digital screens, QR-led solutions, and enhanced customer engagement formats.
5. Fixture, Layout & Store Design
- Deliver fixture solutions, category signage and in‑store navigation that align with brand, category and commercial objectives.
- Ensure fixture and design recommendations support conversion and enhance overall shopability.
6. Cross‑Team Collaboration
- Work closely with commercial, operations, brand, category and online teams to ensure consistency across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Provide activation guidance for retailer meetings, customer sell‑ins and joint business planning.
7. Store Visits & Execution Excellence
- Conduct regular store visits nationwide to evaluate execution quality, assess in‑store needs, gather insight and support store refits.
- Ensure all POS and communications are implemented correctly and consistently.
- Partner with field teams to drive compliance with Perfect Store standards.
8. Budget, Agency & Project Management
- Manage shopper activation budgets, supplier quotes, POs and cost tracking.
- Brief and manage creative, print, production and experiential agencies.
- Ensure all materials are delivered on‑time, on‑brand, and to the highest quality.
The experience we're looking for
- 2–3 years’ experience in shopper marketing, FMCG, retail marketing or a similar commercial activation role.
- Strong knowledge of in‑store POS, including offer signage, in‑store branding, FSDUs, navigation tools and display units.
- Experience managing supplier branding, store signage and brand presence enhancements.
- Demonstrated ability to brief and manage creative agencies, especially for print and large‑format materials.
- Excellent organisational & project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate, influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working on store refits, retail environments or fixture projects is advantageous.
- Understanding of the Irish retail and pharmacy landscape is a plus.
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field preferred.
