About the role
As a Trade Marketing & Insights Manager you will be expected to own and drive the Reckitt 4P strategy for Reckitt Brands with a true opportunity to create and drive change. You will be expected to identify opportunities and risks, to deliver the optimum plans against these, and to drive the business toward rapid and decisive action plans to win in the market. You will have high levels of involvement across the Reckitt commercial teams and with the Senior Management Team (Local and Global).
Your responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective 4P strategies based on Global Success Models and an understanding of customers, categories and consumers to maximise profitability
- Develop short and long-term category strategies based on a thorough diagnosis & understanding of market conditions and trends
- Lead annual category 4Ps planning and review process by understanding business objectives and translating them into a 4Ps roadmap for Sales execution.
- Build 4Ps gap analysis and work with Sales and Customer Marketing to develop/agree clear, specific plans for corrective action.
- Champion new product market entry and execution. Includes development of sales presentations & materials and tracking/analysing 4Ps in-market implementation. Liaise with Marketing & Sales to ensure that NPD plans and wider categories are aligned, and best practices are shared.
- Drive Range Review process across commercial functions.
- Customise strategies and plans to align with and support the retailer’s strategy and influence key decision-makers to improve in-store presence and execution of the category
- Assist in the development of trade spend guidelines, perform top-line allocations and review and authorize planned trade investment.
- Make decisions based on a thorough understanding of NR, Trade Spend and Gross Margin.
The experience we're looking for
- Degree calibre with sales / marketing / data or retail management background, with strong category management experience within FMCG
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and good understanding of Customer Management Process.
- Ability to analyse large volumes of complex information, interpret & construct straightforward plans
- Strong commercial acumen & ability to analyse P&L performance to provide recommendations.
- Confident of communicating and influencing at all levels of the organisation
- Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI, Spectra, Panel Data, A&Us)
- Advanced usage of Excel, PowerPoint, Nielsen, Kantar (or equivalent; and basic Spaceman (or equivalent)
- Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
