About the role
The HRBP manager for Evansville facility is a member of the Local LT team and supports the consolidation of the HR function and culture for that location. The position reports directly to the HRD Supply & R&D for MJN. The position should be viewed as a strong business partner, working closely with the local Leadership team, being highly influential to support the strategy and cohesion of the team, and enhancing culture, employee relations, ethical behaviours while deploying different initiatives to accelerate the engagement and organizational development. Should be able to provide leadership for career development, succession planning and career coaching while establishing new ways of working, capabilities and a context to make the business successful. Leads by example all policies related to people administration and covering all aspects of Human resources. The person in charge of this position should be able to work and influence in a matrix environment into the community of Human Resources and will be responsible to manage a dual role to implement some practices and projects across the NA sites.
The candidate, to be successful in the role, should have a solid background in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment. should also have excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities.
Your responsibilities
- Consult with managers and supervisors on HR matters, such as performance management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, training and development, talent acquisition, and retention.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends and issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Manage employee relations cases, such as grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations, ensuring fairness and compliance in coordination with other areas.
- Coordinate with the corporate HR team and other stakeholders to implement HR programs and initiatives across the manufacturing centre.
- Support the implementation of change management and organizational development strategies to enhance the performance and culture of the manufacturing centre.
- Stay updated on the latest HR trends, best practices, and legal requirements, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to foster a more inclusive workplace.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to HR processes and practices.
- Strong project management skills to oversee HR projects from conception to completion.
- Experience in leading change management initiatives within a manufacturing setting.
The experience we're looking for
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an HR generalist or Business Partner, preferably in a manufacturing/ supply setting.
- Professional certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of labour laws and regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry in the USA and the State of Indiana.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.
