About the role
- Leads and manages a manufacturing work stream within the Evansville Supply Center to meet designated business expectations. Coordinates and manages direct and matrixed functional areas (planning, maintenance, quality and finance) related to the processing and/or packaging of infant formula and toddler products. Leads manufacturing processes that foster high quality, cost efficiency and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Continuously communicates and reviews the performance of the work stream. Manages the tools and processes to monitor key performance indicators. Establishes measurement expectations and drives continuous improvement processes including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Visual Metrics and 5S to improve all activities within the work stream. Leads root cause investigations and ensures execution of improvement plans.
- Ensures product availability to meet customer needs by making quality product to plan. Leads the effort to understand and communicate customer issues and garners the necessary resources to address those issues in a timely fashion. Takes the lead on presenting to senior leaders as requested.
- Directly manages Operations Supervisors and maintains a visible plant floor presence to heighten plant floor engagement.
- Creates and develops a high performing team of talent which is committed to delivering against Evansville Supply Center and MJN objectives. Builds a team culture and holds others accountable for the results expected.
- Sustains the flexibility and responsiveness of a non-union workforce through the development and leadership of a team-based culture. Identifies and resolves employee concerns and issues in a timely fashion.
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science or related field. Five years of experience within Supply Chain, preferably within a food, pharmaceutical, or consumer products company.
- Setting and achieving departmental financial goals and productivity agendas
- Proven problem solving skills, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma
- Leading change and/or continuous improvement efforts
- Leadership of significant projects having high business impact
- Working with FDA and other regulatory agencies
- Leadership of compliance, GMP or HACCP processes
- Working knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety issues and regulations

Salary Range
USD $109,000.00
- $163,000.00
Pay Transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
