Global Sustainability Data Coordinator

​Corporate Communications & External Affairs​

• Planning and Project Management - Above all the role requires strong organization and time- management skills. The role will involve supporting the delivery of monthly reports, as well as our annual report, published in Q2 each year.

• Data analysis - The Global Sustainability Coordinator will support the Global Senior Sustainability Analyst, Global Sustainability Analyst and the Global Environment Manager in gathering, interpreting and summarizing environmental data across our sites. This will largely be undertaken using our Enablon database, which all sites use to submit monthly performance data. Data analysis often requires conversion from Enablon into Excel. 

• Presentation skills – Data enquiries are part of the daily routine and come from both our Health,Hygiene and Nutrition Business Units. A key role is therefore presenting environmental performance of our sites to a range of stakeholders across the business, often at senior vice-president level and upwards. You will lead on monthly reporting to these stakeholders, via PowerPoint and Power BI platforms. 

• Training – From time to time, the Global Sustainability Coordinator may also be required to provide training on Enablon to engineers and EHS professionals across our sites either in person, or via e- learning and webinar.

• Local regional support – Complementing the focus on performance analytics, the Global Sustainability Coordinator, may also be required to support the Regional Environment Manager to drive on site programmes, drive awareness and environmental compliance activities. 

• (Reporting) Stakeholder liaison– this role may require the Sustainability Coordinator to support liaison with key regional stakeholders, in the financial, SRI, NGO and reporting best practice communities, to bring reporting intelligence back into the sustainability leadership team.

• General sustainability support – this role will largely concentrate on the elements above, but another responsibility within this position in support to the wider Sustainability team. This offers the opportunity of exposure to other aspects of corporate responsibility – everything from regulatory tracking and preparedness, to specific events and awareness initiatives.

 

About the role

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major end results the role will achieve)

Planning & Project Management

• Good organizational and planning skills are essential. Support the collection of all Reckitt’s environmental data via various internal management systems.
• Support the provision of regular monthly/quarterly updates to regional and global management on manufacturing sites’ environmental performance status related to all long-term performance targets detailed in our reports.

Reporting, Presentation & Communication kills
• Developing clear, professional presentation-ware for information provision across Reckitt. Strong familiarity with PowerPoint and equivalent
• Delivering presentations to everyone from site-colleagues to executive level. Provide insights and performance to Reckitt senior leadership to help drive improvements
• Support newly acquired sites in aligning with Reckitt’s reporting framework.
• Support to comm’s colleagues on sustainability performance, (e.g. via articles and social media messaging)

Data Analysis Skills

• Self-starter on data management and interpretation
• Familiarity to databases and data management software(s) – Enablon, Excel, SAP, others

 

Your responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (Knowledge and experience needed for satisfactory performance of the job)
• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in the sustainability arena.
• Strong project management experience with proven analytical abilities and attention to detail
• Knowledge of data-reporting software solutions (Enablon, SAP, Ariba, Intertek, Excel etc).
• Ideally with some reporting familiarity – e.g. external reporting players (GRI, CDP, FTSE, DJSI) and the wider reporting landscape trends (integrated reporting, TCFD implementation, SGDs, social purpose agenda etc).
• Understanding of the FMCG or Healthcare sector is preferred, although not essential.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

• Have clear and concise communications skills, both written and verbal, requiring a good level of English language, with the ability to adapt communications to various audiences
• Ability to build and maintain knowledge across Reckitt.
• Be willing to travel
