About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & Analytics Specialist to lead our Emerging Markets (Ex China) CoE. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in developing/deploying marketing/media analytics, omni-channel/e-commerce /traditional retail analytics solutions working either on the Client side or Agency side. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of statistics and machine learning techniques, along with experience of applying these to solving business challenges in the above domains.
Your responsibilities
• Champion Data Driven Marketing Initiatives for the EM region
• Lead and scale marketing measurement program ( MMM, Geo Tests etc.) for EM – developing roadmap, defining necessary analytical solutions, data requirements etc.
• Business partner to brand, media, e-comm teams in maximising ROI of investments
• Partner with other Global CoEs to develop best practices
• Be a strong contributor to regional GenAI and Master Data initiatives
• Analyse datasets to extract actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
• Able to develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
• Review analytical models/model output for accuracy/robustness and being able to validate results using model statistics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Manage multiple projects running in parallel – with clear outcome orientation
• Self-driven – ability to deliver projects with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The experience we're looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role within the e-commerce, quick commerce, or CPG industry either at Client side or analytics agency side or a mix of experience with at least 3 years in e-comm or media at client/agency
• In-depth understanding of media and media concepts – and experience or certifications in digital media platforms like Google Analytics/ Meta a plus
• Coding experience in Python or R for data analysis and model creation/review
• Nice to have but not essential: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, or similar
• Master’s degree – business analytics or MSc in Stats / ML etc. related fields
• Direct experience of media analytics at media agency or media/retail at client side in e-comm
• An experience or understanding of CPG/FMCG 4P analysis (price/distribution analytics) and data sets (retail syndicated panel / household panels)
