About the role
This role is part of the Global Raw Material team and responsible for the procurement strategy of all Surfactants, Solvents, Waxes and Mineral Oil in Asia, AME and ASEAN and Anti Microbials and Pine Oil Globally aligned with the global strategy.
The role directly reports to Procurement Director Global Surfuctants and dotted line to Procurement Director – Global Pine Oils, Anti Microbials
The portfolio oversees a spend of ~ 114-125 Mn GBP covering 14+ Countries and support to co-packers
Main responsibility is the development and execution of global category, sustainable sourcing and supplier management strategies to achieve competitive advantage through lowest purchase cost and value improvements consistent with the direction set by the business.
Your responsibilities
• Deliver results in key performance areas including cost management, financial forecast accuracy, NWC performance, service & quality to plants, process improvements and innovation.
• Have full financial accountability for the category (Budget, Forecast, PPV, NWC).
• Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships.
• Develop Commodity Risk Management strategy aligned with key stakeholders.
• Keep tracking of regulatory and quality implications across the portfolio.
• Develop and implement sustainability strategy in collaboration with Sustainability group.
• Lead and develop direct reports.
The experience we're looking for
Bachelor/master’s degree in business, science/engineering, supply chain or equivalent.
• 10+ years of Procurement/Other supply chain roles and relevant supporting function experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven track record in handling complexity.
• Previous Commodity Risk Management expertise is an advantage.
• Ability to travel
• Fluent oral and written English, second or third language is a plus.
