About the role
As an R & D Category Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists.
Your responsibilities
• Support the delivery of new and existing product developments in Health Hygiene segment.
• Develop new formulations and troubleshoot formulas as well as continuous improvement of existing formulas and processes.
• Understanding of consumer centric innovations, end to end delivery of products from concept to launch
• Strong communication and coordination skills to manage CFT, work with project team for design and development of superior products as well as related documentation.
• Agile to stretch as per project needs and can work under pressure
• Shelf starter and motivated to work pro-actively to solve problems
• Work with hand and body hygiene products and evaluate them for chemical and physical properties, performance, and stability.
• Conduct performance and analysis, evaluations of competitive products.
• Conduct laboratory tests, analyse results, and document your findings.
• Record & maintain all laboratory records/notebooks accurately.
• Material management: maintain supplies inventory and order items when needed.
• Understands the product development process as it specifically pertains to R&D.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and execute laboratory work according to required safety and quality standards, as defined in the company's SOPs.
• Comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Handling of equipment, documentation, usage/storage of sensitive chemicals/reagents and waste disposal.
• Provide technical support within laboratory and other departments as required.
• Open to travel for transfer of technology to plants.
The experience we're looking for
Masters in chemistry, cosmetics, chemical engineering, pharmacy, equivalent or higher from institutions of repute.
2-4 years of experience of working in Research and Development of Surfactant containing formulations for personal hygiene or Cosmetics, etc.
Communication, Digital and other soft skills.
Working knowledge of Quality management systems.
Candidates with higher qualifications from institutions of repute and relevant experience will be preferred.
