About the role
Your responsibilities
Support the feasibility development of new and existing product developments
Understanding of raw material, formulation & process to support pilot plant feasibility development
Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench
Well versed with literature & patent search to draw out key product & ingredient insights from competition product
Understanding of microbiology , clinical & instrumental testing methodology of skin claims across Dettol personal care product format
Understanding and interest in Surfactant, Soaps, Microbiology , Cosmetic & Skin Science
Strong technical knowledge to work independently toward multiple project objectives within established timelines.
Conduct performance and analysis evaluations of competitive products
Conduct evaluation of feasibility development prototypes including performance and stability testing.
Maintain appropriate level of communications with Outside Innovation, Marketing, clinical, regulatory, legal, microbiology, procurement, and Supply point of contact to accomplish project objectives.
Understands the product development process as it specifically pertains to R&D.
Maintain laboratory equipment and execute laboratory work according to required safety and quality standards, as defined in the company's SOP's.
Document all feasibility development work in laboratory notebooks as per internal quality standards
Write reports documenting the various project activities.
Interact with other Global R&D personnel to share & learn R&D best practices.
The experience we're looking for
QUALIFICATIONS
• Educated to Masters/Degree level (Chemistry, pharmacy or chemical engineering)
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3-5 years R&D experience in development of surfactant-based formulation with a proven track record of delivery.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including cross-functional Project Teams involving members from Marketing, Supply, Manufacturing as well as R&D
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams or immediate supervisor
• Written communication skills for accurate data entry and concise lab reports
• Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines . Ability to display a degree of flexibility regarding changing project priorities
• Perform other assignments as delegated by line manager
• Well versed with MSOffice Software applications
