About the role

To lead the PLM Business Systems Support team, ensuring system stability, user enablement, and alignment with transformation goals. The role serves as the Business System Owner for PLM systems, leading both BAU and strategic activities to ensure these PLM systems continue to meet business needs.

Your responsibilities

•    Lead the PLM Business Support team for PLM platforms, translating business needs into enhancements and aligning system support with future PLM transformation goals.
•    Oversee BAU support operations, balancing immediate system needs with long-term unification and data governance objectives.
•    Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, IT&D, and programme teams to ensure user needs are translated into technical requirements and prioritised accordingly.
•    Coordinate with IT&D on issue resolution and support activities, managing incident tracking, escalations, and SLAs.
•    Gather functional requirements and lead change management / system release activities, working closely with relevant business functions and IT&D.
•    Maintain oversight of compliance with data governance and system validation requirements across the PLM landscape.
•    Guide process optimisation, knowledge sharing, and the continuous improvement of support practices across platforms.
•    Manage team workload and development, monitor KPIs, and ensure alignment with business expectations and capacity planning.

The experience we're looking for

•    Minimum 3 years' experience leading and managing medium-sized teams (5-10 people)
•    Experience working in an R&D environment with a robust understanding of product developed and delivery to market
•    Proven track record delivering change project and system support to agreed timelines
•    Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management in R&D or adjacent regulated environments, with a working knowledge of SAP PLM preferred
•    Proven experience managing support teams or digital systems within a matrixed business and IT environment.
•    Working knowledge of PLM platforms is preferred.
•    Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on support delivery.
•    Strong stakeholder engagement, people management, and communication skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage change and lead cross-functional collaboration.
•    Familiarity with system validation, data governance, and process harmonisation.
