About the role

R&D PDM is responsible for product adaptation and product innovation for local brands. Teams work
closely with R&D Innovation groups as well as regional and global functions on projects delivering
growth of the business, protecting existing business against revenue loss, through improving product
profitability, integrating formula and packaging development. The teams are associated with regional
Supply and Commercial organisations and are based across five regions around the globe. This role is
for South Asia region & is based out of Gurugram in India.
The role of Associate is to lead the provision of ongoing R&D support to a defined Reckitt portfolio of
products. You will be responsible for project management, technical support and laboratory work, to
ensure the implementation of projects in South Asia. In this role, you will collaborate with other R&D
teams, Regulatory, Marketing and Production groups to deliver “best in market” consumer solutions

Your responsibilities

 
 You will ensure the successful development & launch or roll outs of products, including
formulation development, performance/claims & stability tests, scale up, specification setting
and copy clearances, technical document preparation, products benchmarking, Demo creation as
reason to believe in closed collaboration with key stakeholders including Regulatory, Legal and
Marketing.
 Support supply for manufacturing, procurement or packaging projects, to implement effective
technical solutions and solving issues in manufacturing process including low carbon, safety &
sustainability objectives/compliance.
 Support factories and procurement teams for new raw material and supplier qualification-
 Qualify alternative raw materials or suppliers in support of procurement, under guidance
and with approval of the relevant teams like Quality.
 Support Supply Packaging in the implementation of alternative packaging materials, components
or suppliers.
 Identify opportunities for formula harmonization, cost optimization.
 Provide daily R&D support to local marketing and commercial team

 Collaborate closely with local Marketing in providing technical expertise to support
marketing programs and to provide local business support.
 Provide technical information, proof of claims, Demo and labelling guidance in close
cooperation with the global R&D teams, and Regional Regulatory, Legal, Safety &
Environmental Services function.
 Active participation in local/regional margin improvement teams.
 Work with Legal, Regulatory, Safety & Environmental Services to address local competitors and
authority challenges.
 Extend or lead -
 Support to other R& teams by providing a clear definition of products, marketing claims,
and raw material requirements from the regional/local perspective and by providing
technical input and support in the preparation of the claim support data.
 Regional or local implementation of global product initiatives.
 Enforce quality mindset by ‘Right first time’ practice for working in area by following
documented procedures & follow good documentation practice.
 Be aware, accountable for safety, health & environment in workplace all time to ensure accident free & good environment area of working.

The experience we're looking for

Post- graduate/ PhD level (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering) with proven 6-10 years of
relevant experience:
 Proven track record of successful delivery of technical projects in a FMCG company.
 Strong formulation expertise and understanding of raw material chemical interactions.
 Experience and understanding of methodologies used to support product and new claims
development.
 Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including crossfunctional
project Teams involving members from Marketing, Supply, Manufacturing as well as
R&D.
 Strong understanding of the product development process from concept ideation to launch.
 Proven Project Management skills
 Excellent Organizational and Problem-solving skills.
 Strong interpersonal skills to nurture teamwork and foster an environment of achievement.
 The ability to think laterally to apply novel solutions and supporting justifications to challenging
problems or situations.
 Result-oriented and self-motivating.
 Excellent networking and communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and
to provide feedback to cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams or immediate supervisor.
 Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines.
 Ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change.
 Perform other assignments as delegated by immediate Supervisor.
