About the role
This is a fast paced and dynamic role to manage/implement assigned projects/activities with exposure to technical partners. In this role the ability of being a leader and to develop others is required together with a strong technical knowledge.
Your responsibilities
- To lead technical activities in projects which are consumer and business relevant.
- Deliver projects in an efficient, cost effective and convincing manner, ensuring sufficient resources are available.
- To use a wide breadth of view when analysing a problem whilst maintaining a focus on the objectives.
- Ensuring key stakeholders are appropriately communicated with.
- To deliver assigned projects and activities for the introduction of new technologies and process improvements related to water soluble films, this may include communication with key stakeholders.
- Excellent risk awareness / problem solving skills together with knowledge of how to overcome obstacles by getting support from others.
- To work closely with the Development and Science Platform team(s) to ensure that projects and technologies are transferred seamlessly and supported to become successful market launches.
- To support format and product innovation.
- To work on next generation water soluble films and monodose pouch designs, and ‘new news’ opportunities for existing products.
- To be accountable for liaison with appropriate technical development and supply chain personnel to ensurecompletion of all activities to plan & successful handover to Supply and launch to the market for the assigned projects.
- To support M&E globally in core format initiatives and rollouts.
- To develop a working commercial knowledge and a network with the Category Team(s) to understand their needs, thus ensuring proper response to business needs.
The experience we're looking for
- Master’s degree in polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- First experience in FMCG company or similar and had also people leadership experience been advantageous.
- Strong understanding of physical‑chemical principles and materials science.
- Hands‑on experience with prototype development or product development processes.
- Good project management capabilities, including planning and coordination.
- Experience of working with factories and/ or external 3rd parties (e.g., suppliers)
- Experience/expertise in technology development and desire to execute the same to a finished prod uct as needed
- Proven experience with recruitment, management, and development of people.
- Proven track record in collaboration with internal & external business partners.
- Flexible to travel internationally and for extended periods of time to oversee and support project delivery on-site
- Fluent in English.
- Basic German desired, willingness to learn German.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Office (intermediate level), knowledge of MiniTab would be an added advantage.
- Exposure to product launches or technology transfer environments.
- Experience coordinating or mentoring others.
