About the role

As an Intern Customer Service (all genders), you will join our Heidelberg-based team, support German customers and gain hands-on experience across the full Order-to-Cash process. From order management and invoicing to post-sales support, you will play a key role in delivering seamless customer experience while collaborating with colleagues across Sales, Supply, and Finance. You will support daily operational activities, contribute to process excellence, and, following a structured onboarding period, gradually take ownership of your own customer portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your commercial, analytical, and communication skills in a fast-paced, international environment while making a meaningful impact from day one.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process, ensuring accurate and timely management of customer orders in SAP.
  • Review and validate order details, including delivery dates, product information, EAN codes, and minimum order quantities, in close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide proactive support to customers and business partners during product launches, supply constraints, and other operational priorities.
  • Investigate and resolve quantity and pricing claims, ensuring accurate processing and follow-up within SAP.
  • Maintain customer and commercial data, including rebate information, while delivering high-quality support for customer enquiries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging KPIs and operational insights to enhance service excellence and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and, following onboarding, gradually take ownership of your own customer portfolio to help deliver outstanding customer experience.

The experience we're looking for

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or practical experience in Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, Administration, or a similar environment is an advantage.
  • Strong interest in Customer Service, business processes, data analysis, and customer communication.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a diverse range of teams and functions.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the confidence to take ownership and work independently.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to deliver excellent customer experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel; initial knowledge of SAP is considered a plus.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are considered a strong advantage.
