About the role
As an R & D Technician (all genders) at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in supporting technical dossier management and analytical lab compliance.

This position is limited (for 2 years), with the goal to transform it into a permanent position.
Your responsibilities
You perform technical support and laboratory work to support the implementation of detergent development initiatives in the United States, in full compliance with all safety regulations.
You are responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a clean, organized workspace.
You read, understand, and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), particularly with regard to:
• Proper operation, standardization, and maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Accurate maintenance of laboratory notebooks and thorough documentation of results
• Compliance with safety and hygiene requirements
• Management of material inventory and ordering consumables as needed
• Ensuring compliance with all legal, health, safety, and environmental requirements, including the application and tracking of Good Laboratory Practices
You collaborate with and support projects and teams by carrying out defined tasks, such as:
• Preparation of laboratory samples and samples for consumer testing
• Conducting performance testing and stability testing
• Proposing improvements to defined processes or laboratory management practices.
• Ensuring precise, complete, and traceable documentation of test results.
The experience we're looking for
• Minimum school-leaving qualification
• Relevant vocational or comparable qualification preferred
• Good German skills; basic English is an advantage
• Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred
• Technical experience in R&D or related fields is a plus
• Understanding of laboratory work supporting product development and testing
• Knowledge of basic physical and chemical hazards
• Ability to document work accurately in line with Good Laboratory Practice
• Solid knowledge of laboratory techniques (workplace and bench work)
• Team-oriented, well-organized, results-driven, and self-motivated with strong communication skills
