About the role

As a Regulatory Affairs Associate within the Essential Home organization, you’ll be at the forefront of our innovation and compliance efforts. You’ll grow your career in a role that provides a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on experience within a dynamic, collaborative environment. 
The RAS Associate DACH & Nordics is responsible for the smooth launch of new products of its brands and provides appropriate regulatory support for new projects, including global enquiries, as well as for ensuring compliance throughout the whole product life cycle. 

Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of filing registrations and maintaining documentation compliance throughout the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with relevant local and global teams and the commercial teams in the German speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) to establish and implement regulatory strategies, within the agreed timeframes to execute the business plan for the commercialization of household cleaning and care products
  • Taking on independent responsibility for regulatory innovation by assessing global strategies and compliance activities, incl. artwork and advertising review from a regulatory perspective, incl. recommendations for improvement, Swiss poison center notifications, Safety Data Sheet plausibility review, VOC calculations and others
  • Review that regulated claims are appropriately supported and provide guidance from a regulatory perspective. Support the development of regulatory claims
  • Represent the regulatory function as a leading and knowledgeable partner in business development and support the brand development from a regulatory perspective
  • Collaborate closely with external partners, contractors and licensees to ensure that regulatory issues are properly managed and resolved
  • Coordinate the resolution of regulatory issues affecting household cleaning and care products, advising the company on registration and regulatory issues
  • Maintenance of internal regulatory administrative data and assist in possible validation of internal regulatory databases
  • Perform tasks related to trade association activities
  • Interpret and implement regulations and guidelines as needed to foster industry compliance, sharing the regulatory knowledge within the team by providing learnings from own projects which are applicable to other brands and/or countries
  • Perform regulatory-related invoicing tasks
  • Support smooth business processes by preventing disruptions due to regulatory aspects by participation in change control procedures
  • Provide regulatory support and advice to internal and external clients in the region in a professional manner

The experience we're looking for

  • University degree, preferably in Chemistry or related life science disciplines
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German (preferably native speaker) and English
  • Proven track record with at least 3 years in chemical regulatory affairs, showcasing full proficiency in this role's requirements
  • Proficient in multitasking, executing tasks under pressure, and making objective decisions when faced with complex issues
  • Possesses excellent working knowledge of regulatory environment and processes in local markets that apply for Essential Home products
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated hands-on approach
  • Acute business acumen accompanied by commercial awareness
